It looks like a good thing. It appears to be the next step after submitting the secondary and before getting an interview. I got pooled yesterday!
 
Sorry to bother everyone with this, but I'm filling out the secondary and a bit confused. If we have a speeding ticket, we obviously indicate that by saying "yes" to that question, but do we also indicate "yes" to the criminal conviction/adverse judgement question?

no, a ticket isn't a conviction
 
It's never a good thing when I have to use the additional comments section to further explain my speeding tickets. Fail.

Ha, yeah I have 4. I couldn't describe them all. Other than I was hurrying to not be late for a commitment. That's probably not detailed enough is it?
 
ouchies with the speeding ticket. I just put went 80 on a 65 freeway. 1 ticket, don't think I needed to explain any further.

Ouch. I just got a ticket a month ago. Luckily it was one mile off from being a misdemeanor. It was a speed trap. Farm road with a sudden drop from 70 to 45 should not happen. I was coasting to save gas....

That sucks.

I was one year off from not needing to check yes on 5 years for a speeding ticket 😛
 
I mentioned a speeding ticket, but I am truthfully not all that worried about it haha. We're human; speeding tickets happen. I think they just wanted to make sure that we would be honest about it.

Steve it'd be pretty crazy to see you in multiple interview days, literally we have ~90% of the same schools.

Yea, I wouldn't be surprised to see it happen 🙂. I'm just really hoping to see that first one come in soon!
 
Secondary submitted! I wish they were all that easy and well-organized! I liked not entering coursework again, just checking the box instead
 
I got my secondary yesterday 7/14.

I had to go look through Facebook to remember when my ticket was from. I know I went to a concert that night. It was 2007, so within the last 5 years. Damn.
 
Still debating applying here, I like the secondary lol.
 
secondaries appear to sent out in batches periodically, i think mine came twelve days after I was verified.

the pool is a good thing, you can't be offered an interview until you've been pooled.

Same here guys, hopefully this means something good. Has anyone looked at last years thread to see if everyone gets "pooled" or is it mildy selective?

Just got put into the re-review pile at GW today 🙁

still nothing (have the 6-8 review status). complete first day secondary went out. fml

From what I've seen, everyone who got interviewed was "pooled" first. Looks like a lot of people remained at this status indefinitely though. I'm not gonna get excited just yet.
 
still not pooled here and app was submitted two days after the secondary came out. LOR's may be holding me up though, or at least I hope.
 
Checked vermont status yesterday. Saw a notice for a problem with my LORs. E-mailed admissions office. They told me it was an error and to check status to make sure it isn't still there.

Seems like I am pooled now:

Your file is complete and has been preliminarily reviewed. You are within a pool of applicants from which an interview may be extended. Please note that this does not guarantee you will be offered an interview and you may not see an update to your status for several months.

Interviews are held on most Tuesdays and Thursdays between mid-September and mid-April. You will be notified via email if you have been selected to interview.

We appreciate your interest in the University of Vermont and your patience with the admissions process.

What are people putting for the Additional Information (optional) prompt? Is it a bad thing to leave it blank? Should it be used as a space to talk about why you're a good fit for the school or to describe yourself?

Finally got pooled today. It took them a couple of weeks.
 
Just added this school after finding out it was non-trad friendly. The campus looks great too.

However, no one from Illinois is represented in the school! We have to change that!
 
Finally pooled! It took me forever to get in the pool compared to others, but I am happy nonetheless.

For those of you who have received the secondary from Vermont, how long did it take? I was verified 7/18 and haven't heard yet.
 
When do people expect to hear back for interviews?
 
I'll be starting orientation here in about 2 weeks. Can't wait!

Being pooled is a good thing, and everyone OOS gets waitlisted after the interview so don't panic 😉.

In what sense are you nontrad? If you can offer some sense of your Major? Work Experience/research? GPA? MCAT? Just to get a sense of the type of students at UVM.

Did anyone put anything in the "please explain your classes that meet reqs"?
I know they're optional, but I just want to see if anyone else put anything? I imagine its just if you're trying to make a class meet the requirement and it's okay to leave it blank if it's your general bio, chem, orgo, phys classes?
 
Just submitted my secondary today! Fingers crossed (I'm guessing they will be for a VERY long time though.)

Eeeeep speeding tickets? 🙁 I live in California and do a lot of driving, like commuting 2 hours to work, driving 6 hours home from college etc., and well a speeding ticket once in a while has been kinda unavoidable. Am I going to look like a terribly irresponsible person? 🙁

Anyone in the pool have multiple speeding tickets?
