Oh yes, they definitely do. A couple people on last year's thread (or maybe the year before, I don't remember) were accepted from the last interview day in March.

I'm expecting a decision letter to come from another school this week. Once I know what they said (good or bad) I'm going to write what will likely be my last LOI. Hopefully it helps. I of course want to attend sooooo bad, but it'd make life so much easier if I knew something sooner so I could plan ahead. This process is so stressful. Thank goodness residency utilizes the match. :sigh:

Haha it's kinda embarrassing how thoroughly I've studied the GW threads in an attempt to master this admissions game and predict what they're gonna do next. It hasn't paid off for me yet but I'm glad some nice SDN people got some interviews today. It shows the rest of us they're still actively evaluating candidates.

What's your interview date, Shaker? Do come back afterward and share your thoughts on the school!

Speaking of sharing thoughts, I'm sorry it's taking me so long to share a bunch of the new info I learned when I went back for a second look. I'll try to post that for everyone later today. I'm sure many of you are very curious about the ensuing curriculum change, as was I. Cheers and good luck to those still waiting.

Can a couple of people share how you sent in LOIs? I had my interview about a month ago and I want to send in the letter today. Did you just put it in the body of an email or add it as an attachment? Did you put "LOI" plus name and ID as the subject or something else? Sorry, I'm just a worrier and get so anal about these things lol. :meanie:
 
So has anyone gotten an interview after sending a letter in response to that email? I just sent mine in, and my hopes aren't that high.

I feel the same way. George Washington continues to grow as my top choice. I just really want the chance to feel out the place and the staff, faculty, and students here. C'MON GW love me😍

Nope. I just addressed mine to the usual "To Whom It May Concern" and sent it in a business letter format with my AMCAS number and all that good stuff. GL everyone! The interview day is wicked fun! :luck:

P.S. Additional info still on its way, I just got another cross-country II yesterday and made the eager beaver decision to attend this Friday; I was scrambling to find the best flights.
 
I'm having trouble logging on, is anyone else having this issue? It says cannot find my record... is that a silent rejection?

Congrat to your new ii. I am still waiting for ii from that school at well. Even though you never mention the school name but I am pretty sure it is a school close to TX.

I'm also having that issue. I don't think it's a rejection because I got the "send a LOI" email.

I just got an interview invite, so don't lose hope! Sent my letter in Feb 1st

They offered me a date at the end of February, but allow you to re-schedule if needed.

I was complete mid-July, got put on hold and sent an LOI in January, then sent in the post-email update on Feb 4th. I'm convinced the letters are really what helped my chances!

Is anyone interviewing on the 19th? Anyone know if there's a program through the school where M1's host interviewee's the night before their interview?
 
I received my email last week about sending in a letter of intent, I sent the letter in on Feb 4th, got my interview invite this morning, Feb 7th. Thought I'd share in case thats helpful to anyone

Did your status change online at all?
 
Did anyone else find it ironic and horribly misleading (and possibly cruel) how the first words of the waitlist letter are "The Admissions Committee is pleased to inform you....that you've been waitlisted"?
 
I honestly didn't look at my status until today, when it said that correspondence has been sent to me via email. Sorry I can't be of more help
 
when did u send your secondary in and when were you put on hold? thanks
 
I submitted my secondary in October and I'm not sure if I was ever put on hold
