There are 202 ppl in the Fb group. But honestly, I don't feel that tells you anything because you do not know how many of those ppl are really going to attend UM.

202 ppl includes the MD track only (150 in each class), MD/MPH (50 in each class), MD/PhD (3-5 in each class) , and MD/MBA (0-2 in each class). There are a couple more ADCOM sessions so there will be more acceptances and not everyone on the fb group accepts UMs offer. There is plenty of time left so dont lose hope!!

-I am in charge of the facebook group and work with the admissions office to communicate with accepted students 🙂

Just got the call this morning. I'm on the west coast so I was a bit annoyed to be woken up at 6:30am, but I quickly forgave Dr. Weisman. Interviewed mid-January, accepted today.

Can anyone comment on the abroad medical missions that Miami has? I saw in the packet given to us at interview day that Miami has about 4-5 to Haiti, Nicaragua, etc. But I met a medical student who said she was going to Vietnam during the summer. Is that a trip that she plans on her own or is it organized with the school? Thank you.

So HAPPPYY, i was on 5 waitlists and this was my only acceptance and my 2nd cycle already!

Hi all,
First off, congrats to all of you who have been accepted. I am currently on the alternate list for both programs, and this is my dream school (was accepted at another school). I was wondering if there is still any real chance of being accepted this late in the cycle. I sent a letter of intent telling AdCom I would definitely attend if accepted, but I couldn't really find anything in past forums telling me just how long people come off the waitlist. I was just wondering if anyone had any insight, and good luck to everyone in their future medical careers!
