Just got an interview invitation last night. I was complete on 7/17
 
interview invite last night as well! 7/17 complete. looks like they sent out a lot of complete emails that day
 
sort of freaked out about the "group discussion"...what is that?

I'm in a similar boat. I'm still optimistic though because many things could explain the delay. For example, perhaps our applications are being reviewed by someone who is on vacation or otherwise occupied, and this may have slowed down their review 🙂.
 
Those of you who got interview invites: we're you in-state or out of state?
 
First interview invite- received yesterday 🙂! OOS, complete 7/23
 
Anyone know if they're receptive to "in the area" emails or is this too early in the cycle?
 
"The group discussion will include all the applicants interviewing with you that day and will be moderated by a member of the Admissions Committee."

I send in the area emails to all my schools every other week so they know I'm staying busy.
 
I probably sound ridiculous asking this, but what are "in the area" emails? 😳

Is it emailing all the schools that are in one area, so that they try to interview you while you are there interviewing for another school?

Exactly. I know Cornell is receptive, but I don't know about Rochester.

I don't know but give it a shot, worse thing that happens is they say no and as long as you're polite about it you look organized and prepared. Plus California is a pretty good haul . . .
 
complete 7/16 and nothing here either....i guess no news is better than a rejection right?
 
They seem to be pretty random in their process. Chronology doesn't mean much to them.
 
they said they don't send rejections until SEPT. i'm afraid they've reviewed my app and arldy denied me 🙁
 
When do interviews start here?

And, anyone know what the chances of acceptance are after an interview invite?
 
For those of you who think you have already been rejected. Relax. I was also kicking myself for applying to this school until I saw their average class stats and remembered why I thought I had a shot.

I only have data from a few years ago but the average GPA for the entering class was 3.7 and a 32MCAT. On their website they say the average is still 3.7 and smething vauge about the MCAT score being over 30.

They have a lot more interviewing to do.

feeling nervous bunch of interviews out already and I still never got the secondary (i was verified on friday)
does anyone know how long it takes for them to send you the secondary application?

II: 8-14
OOS, MCAT 34Q, cGPA: 3.73, sGPA: 3.67 for those curious

anyone with II complete 7-31 ? I dislike this waiting game with a burning burning passion >.<
 
For those of us that have been complete over a month and received nothing else from Rochester, would it be overzealous to send a LOI this early? Especially if our stats may be over their average and we have no state ties?
