I received an II today! Complete 7/24.

My online status said "Your application is complete... If you are invited, you will receive a e-mail or phone call to schedule an interview" on Monday when I last checked. It has since been updated to say I have an interview scheduled.
 
Just got the "Your application is complete. Interviews are by invitation from September to March.* If you are invited, you will receive a e-mail or phone call to schedule an interview." status 🙁

Nope, I am a re-applicant in general, but I did not apply to Wake Forest last year.

I received an email requesting that I call to schedule an interview. Good luck to you all, and I'm looking forward to meeting any of you SDNers on September 24th! Also, if anyone would like to carpool from the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area that day, let me know!
 
Is everyone getting these "notifications" by e-mail? All I have is the login to view the secondary but I never got a "complete" email? I turned my secondary in two days ago....

I never got a "complete" email. However, yesterday I was emailed the "interviews are from sept to march and we will contact you if invited" message. Then I was emailed my interview invitation this morning.
 
status changed yesterday to "under review" and today to the "your application is complete..." status. that doesn't seem good that it was so quick haha
 
What are the differences between statuses? Is one status hypothetically better than another?

"Under review" means they still haven't finished reviewing your application. "Application complete" means they've reviewed you app but you didn't want to interview you yet, and are putting you on hold (essentially a wait list for an interview).
 
For anyone with the application complete status like me other people only had it for a few days and got an interview soon after so don't panic yet 🙂
 
Ill be flying into GSO on Sunday the 23rd at about 4:30, so I'd expect to have some time to kill before my interview the next morning...

Anyone wanna grab a bite to eat and a drink sunday evening?
 
Stupid question: When do I get the secondary application for Wake Forest? I submitted my primary on July 30th and haven't received any secondary invites from them.

Took about 20 days for me. You will get an email from them saying your primary app is under review before getting the secondary though. So be patient.

same here. my status changed from "in review" to "completed. you will be invited from september..." on Tuesday, just received an interview invite by e-mail, so don't worry just yet! good luck everyone!

Wonder of there is a difference in the way they do things. Like my status went straight from 1-2 weeks for review to "you are invited for an interview" as opposed to others who had a few day lag in between with a "you will be emailed if invited sept-march" or whatever.

Just a thought haha most likely means nothing

Went from "under review" to "your application is complete..." in the span of two days.

Rent a car (assuming you are over 21). Heres a little trick I learned on the interview trail. If you register for Hertz gold club, which has free membership for a year, (or at least it did when I signed up last year), you will not only get the gold club discount, and expidited service, they will also waive the underage fee, which is like $25/day, or something like that

weird I just tried checking my status..and its telling me it "can't find applicant number"

perhaps they're updating my app status!?

Errr...I don't think so. Most likely you forgot to add the 0s in front of your number. Remember the applicant number requires two 0s and the employee ID one 0.
 
Just scheduled my interview. Be there on 9/21. Flying through CLT and renting a car the night before. SO EXCITED!!! 😀

I'll be there on 9/21 too 😀, but I'm probably going to fly into GSO Thursday morning on a redeye, rent a car, and explore all day Thursday. Coming from the West Coast, I have to miss two days of work regardless, so I figured why not spend the day exploring instead of flying.

In for 9/21, flying in that Thursday afternoon to gso. Pm me if you guys want to get together. I don't think wake interviews many at a time so there may not be many of us.
 
Where are you guys seeing these "status changes"? Is this via email or am I missing something here. I submitted last week and never got an acknowledgment email or a complete email, just wondering if I actually submitted.

I submitted on July 25th and got a complete status and email on August 8th. I then got a interview invite status on 8/10 and an interview email this morning.

On the online portal click Med School Application Status, then login, and there should be some sort of status. Something saying like you will here from us in 1-2 weeks or something.
 
Got a "application is complete.. will be called or emailed if interviewed" status about a week ago.. still nothing.. I really hope this is not a Hold. I'm almost positive there are no red flags or glaring weaknesses in my app b/c I do have 2 invites (creighton and SUNY upstate), and imo wrote pretty good secondaries for wake as well...

Do you guys recommend sending a letter of interest? If so, I'm just a bit confused as to what I should say on there b/c I answered the optional essay on the secondary with why I really wanted to go there... and don't have much updates to my app for now. 😕

Any ideas would be much appreciated.. this is def. one of my TOP choice schools and it sucks that i'm in limbo right now. Thanks!

Just be patient. Its only been a week and sending them an update with no substance is not going to help.

I wouldn't start worrying yet. I'm basically in the same boat with "application complete" and 2 interview invites from other schools. We just have to wait 😴

I did a lot of research on the "letter of interest" idea a week ago and (in my opinion) there are really only two situations where it is appropriate:

1) You are "on hold" and want to show your interest/really want an interview from the school

2) After the interview and it is your number one choice

So I guess this might just mean wait for an outcome!
 
Just received the secondary and sent it today!! fingers crossed 🙂
 
holy crap I've been putting this secondary off FOREVER! I received it on the 24th and I JUST submitted it. I wonder if the amount of time I took will negatively impact my app? I sure hope not :scared: . Either way, I'm done with secondaries...now the waiting begins...

I doubt it'd affect it THAT much if at all, maybe just a bit if you're on the borderline or something. And you're lucky, I still haven't gotten 2-3 secondaries (one's Drexel, other two screen & I only just added one of those schools)... =( And then NYMC still hasn't responded to my emails.. need to call them Monday. I wish I was 100% done!

In the text of the email, it said "The deadline for submitting the secondary application is three weeks from the date of this e-mail message."

Here's hoping for your sake that's a guideline and not a hard cutoff! I waited almost three weeks myself to submit the secondary, and hope the fact that I waited so long doesn't cast a negative light on my application. :smack:

sigh I guess I'll give them a call on monday and see what they say. This was the ONLY app I waited this long to submit smh. Worst comes to worst they say sorry and I move on.

I thought it was a hard cutoff...so I would be scared if I took over 3 weeks to submit.
