To all of you with long waits:
Don't lose hope. Dartmouth does NOT do silent rejections. I know this process can be brutal, but here is a rule of thumb about DMS: No new is good news.
The admissions process here is pretty complex, but the idea is that they don't want to let go of strong applicants who might get an interview later in the season when the applicant pool looks different than it does today.
If you talk to students here, you will find that many of us were complete in July/August and then got interview invites out of the blue in Feb/March. It's not ideal, but that's how it works here. Again, the idea is to keep a level playing field between early applicants and later applicants.
