I am in similar position. For me, I sent them my committee letter along with my MD and PI letter but the system will only let me select the committee letter for review. All of my letters are showing as not received by RMC.

For you, I dont think you will be able to submit until your committee letter shows up on the LOR page for you to select. Also, you will not be able to select your PI letter for review.
 
The second essay prompt is killing me... I'm way too tired for serious introspection :bang: 😴
 
It says "check the boxes next to the recommendations you prefer the admissions.. " under the LoR section, but there are NO BOXES to select from. Anyone having this problem?

I thought Rush only allowed the Committee Letter, do they allow extra letters in addition to the committee letter? Does anyone how many in addition because I have a couple extra I'd like to send in too, one from a TA I TAd under and one from my PI.

Your letters probably haven't been received by AMCAS, Rush, or both.
 
Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't this make Rush like the only school that requires your letters be actually received before submitting your secondary? I've been able to submit all my other ones.

i have the same problem but since this morning, it lets me submit another payment. checked my credit card and there's a transaction pending for rush already so don't think i will be paying again haha. dunno what to do tho, emailed admissions and now i'm just waiting 🙁

Hey my payment finally went through! It finally acknowledged my $90 donation and let me submit. I also emailed admissions this morning, but never heard back. Just check your app later, I guess it takes a while sometimes.
 
I still can't check the "boxes" to distinguish between the committee letter or the individual letters. Has anyone found anything out about this? Has anyone who emailed admissions gotten an answer?
 
You know that feeling you get when you think you were among the first to send their supplemental application....and then you realize 24 hours later that you only paid the fee but didn't submit the applications....

This is what I take out of it as well. My committee doesn't finish their letter until end of July/August, so it's not sent to the AMCAS until then. If AMCAS doesn't send Rush the letters, then under LoR they don't show up as a box you can check, so you can't complete that section. Thus the secondary can't be submitted 🙁
 
I'm still extremely confused on the letter system at Rush. All my letters are submitted to AMCAS except for one. I am not planning on using this one letter at Rush. Do I need to assign letters through AMCAS to Rush before those silly check boxes appear? Or will those check boxes not appear until this one letter arrives at AMCAS? 😕

I'm having LOR issues with the secondary as well. It may be updating my selection, it may not be - there's no way for me to accurately tell. When I called the main medical college line, they transferred me over to the admissions line. The admissions line plays a recording, on loop, telling you to visit their website or email them. After pressing "0" a few times trying to get the system to send me to a live person it was clear that wasn't going to work. I've emailed them so we'll see!
 
Dont know if this helps..after submitting the app they emailed me saying they will check AMCAS to see if the letters can be available to them... So I assume just submit and hope for the best.

Were you able to select which letters you want them to review before submitting?

Well select yeah, then I pressed update and the mark went away, but after submitting I saw the marked letter for each time I marked it. I had a letter packet so it might be different for you.
 
dang it, my school still hasnt sent the lors yet to amcas. So now I have wait until amcas gets the lor, then amcas will send it to rush, then I will be able to submit my secondary...in a million years.
 
I'm trying to upload my birth certificate and every time I press upload the page refreshes and says "Your photo ID has been saved." I've tried uploading it as a pdf and jpg but no luck. Anyone else having the same problem?

Also the checkbox should appear for the LoR's once AMCAS receives them:

I think most of us are having the same problem with these LORs. I emailed 2 days ago and no response yet…. my LOR is listed 3 times under the summary because apparently it counts the letter every time you check the box. Hoping the other 2 go away once the letter is received 😡

I received an email response from them yesterday. They told me that they're working with their IT department and are hoping to have the LOR issue fixed by Monday.

i have a letter packet too. is there a way to select specific authors in the packet?

What's considered community service? I've done things such as serve at a homeless shelter. However, would being a church retreat counselor or assistant for a church summer daycare program be considered community service?

The homeless shelter counts but camp counselor does not. Just my opinion.
 
Did anyone else have trouble keeping the employment duration drop down menu selections to save? I selected how long I did each activity, but after I saved, went to the next page, then submitted, it doesn't look like my selections are there.

I sent the admissions office an email, but I was just wondering if anyone else noticed the same thing.

Yes. I have this problem as well. When I saved, it appeared to keep the durations. However, when I submitted it did not retain the duration but it did keep the radio button for the selected category.

I'm going to email them tomorrow, but reply to this post and let us know what they told you? You'll probably hear back before I do.

Quick question, when I uploaded my bc, it said Photo ID saved but no preview. Is this what you saw too?

if it says photo id saved does that mean the birth certificate is saved?

I just want to submit it dammit!
 
Is anybody "complete" here? I submitted a few days ago and they still don't have my rec letters. Most of the other school have received the letters before I even submit a secondary!

Nope. My letters have been with AMCAS since the 21st and most schools say that's why I'm not complete yet. I'm blaming the holiday :/

Did everybody write about all three of their community service experiences for the 2nd essay? I'm having trouble fitting all three into 2000 characters. Am I writing too much for each?

I only chose one because I was having the same problem and they weren't very related experiences.

Do we need to include three experiences? I only had enough space to really talk about two. Is three a requirement?
