My status since I have been complete (after confirmation of photo upload) is: Your Application is currently under review by the Admissions Committee at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

I believe that's what I had before the status I noted above.

"Your Interview has been completed and now your AMCAS and Secondary Applications and interview report are currently being reviewed a final time by the Admissions Committee at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

Decisions are usually made within 4-6 weeks of the interview. You will be notified by cell phone, e-mail and/or standard mail."

"A final decision has been reached by the Admissions Committee at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine on your application. Contact the admissions office if you do not receive a telephone call, an e-mail or a letter within seven days."

Not going to lie, you got my hopes up that my status changed. Unfortunately it has not. Congrats and I will just keep patiently waiting!

I interviewed October 25th, your day will come! Resisting the urge to call them now though >_<

Have the same status since late August. Is this a silent rejection?? THey interview into February I think. Inpatiently waiting

Ditto!! And I had the same reaction as well lol. I kinda wanna call them too. I just wanna know! I really loved Miami, and I'm kicking myself for not letting them know that. I should have sent a thank you note or something. I'll just try to be patient though.

My status was also changed today. As a matter of fact, I interviewed on the 25th as well. I just hope that the "final decision" is favorable.
 
Hahaha wow! I can't believe they tell you they've made their decision but make you wait a week!!! I'm anxious for you guys! GL!!

They had Mondays and Fridays throughout December open. Interviews went up until march 31.

Also I decided to decline the invite. Hope it goes to one of you. Good luck!
 
Can't believe no one has posted in here yet today, we're almost 2 hours from 5pm... hoping for the best, but expecting the worst. My interviewer asked me if I'd ever bullied anyone, no idea what brought that about, but it sure made me feel like he thought I was a douche.

My cousin interviewed here, and he said his interviewer kept repeatedly telling him he won't do pediatrics, which is what he is interested in. He felt it was really pushy. He was accepted and matriculated anyway. I think they may be seeing how you do under stress. My take on a N=1. Good luck to you.
 
I will be matriculating if I get the call. I'm worried, however, because my status dies not indicate that a decision has been made.

when did you interview? I interviewed oct 28, but i still haven't had a status change either. was hoping to hear back today... oh well
 
I interviewed on Oct 18 and remember being told that if we were accepted we would hear back Nov. 20 at 5pm.
 
I'm so nervous guys. Ugh I truly hate this application process lol. Good luck everyone!! I really loved Miami, so I'm really hoping for a call.

Good for you! How sweet? I'm interviewing at Miami in couple of weeks, but I might cancel b/c I acceptances to two much cheaper schools (like $30K cheaper/year). Only with a super amazing scholarship could I even consider Miami. Sad.

Has anyone been accepted off the alternate list yet!?
 
So, to clarify, no phone call and no alternate list is a rejection?
For some reason I recall them saying at the interview that they don't outright reject you.
If you're not accepted and not wait listed then that only leaves one option, I think.

i remember they said they don't reject anybody! so they probably haven't gotten to you yet and you will hear back in december?

Ehhhhh.....I interviewed early in October. I'm sure they got to me.

Seems like my interviewer already sent in my interview report! Interviewed on Monday, I hope I get the call on Dec.11th!

THERE IS!!! It's called Doctor's Note. Hate to ruin the surprise, but you'll get to see them perform at second look. You better bring it though, auditions are very competitive!

Not a current student, but my friend is currently an M1 there and she is in a Capella group there.

Edit: Oops did not see that someone already commented on that.
 
I was placed on the alternate list here on 11/20. Does anyone know when a good time to send in an update would be? I have a few things that I could add to my application. I understand that they continue to make decisions throughout the cycle and I could technically be pulled from the alternate list at any time. This is why I am thinking that I should send an update sooner rather than around may. Anyone have any ideas? I really want to go here.

Same here, except since 10/9. I applied MD/PhD.

Are there any other MD/PhD applicants here? Any news yet?

Does the committee automatically give scholarships if you qualify for it based on merit, need, diversity, etc? In other words, you don't have to apply for it right?

Mine is exactly the same, from same time period. Maybe means that they haven't got that far yet?? Or we've been passed over?? Who knows what it means.
