"Your file is currently under review by a member of the admissions committee and will be sent to committee shortly. No decision has yet been made regarding your admission status to Drexel University."

I got this 1.5 week after my interview. Is there going to be another status update between this one and "decision reached?"

I believe the next status update says something like "is under review with the committee" and THEN you get the "decision reached" status afterwards.

When did you interview? Do they do these by chronological order of interview days?

Jan. 6th. I'm not sure if they do by chronological order but I can only imagine that's the logical thing to do, no?

Hrmm i interviewed before that and im still at the 'your interview has beeen scheduled' status. Maybe itll change soon. Thanks!

I interviewed last week of october, and i was not sent to committee until after the New Year. I think they just do it as your interviewer is able to get their evaluations done and submit it to and show up at the committee meetings. But I'm honestly not sure at all lol

My file still says: "Your file is and complete and will be reviewed. "

Anyone else?

+1
We may have been forgotten....
Our file is probably somewhere around here...

Same boat. Idk what's going on.
I am in the same situation guys. What really gets me to worry is that it takes everyone interviewing here around 3 to 4 months to receive their interview results. So I am not feeling to confident here considering that I have not even received an ii and its almost late January

Yeah I think it's an inevitable preinterview rejection for us still waiting. I really just wish schools were a bit more respectful of applicants, not that there is any reason for them to be. At least this school has a portal. It baffles me that there are still med schools that don't have a portal of some type and/or do silent rejections. The cost of an automated email system and portal are very low compared to the fees they collect every year from applicants.

Sorry if this was asked already, but do students choose which track (IFM/PIL) after matriculating?

Can some of the people who have interviewed share where they flew in and how they got around. I am trying to fly the most affordable way to do this but the flights from San Francisco to Philadelphia are not very cheap. Did some people fly into other airports close by? and if so how did you make your way to the school?

No, you choose at the end of the 1-week orientation (during which you may get a taste of what PIL/IFM are like)

did any other accepted student receive an email from "[email protected]" asking for a background check? it seems a little sketchy because theres errors in their email and it doesnt tell me which school requested a background check but i remember in Drexel's welcome package saying something about a background check...

For those who are at Drexel, do you know how impacted it is to finish your third and fourth year in California?

At my interview day, one of the students that talked to us did her rotations at Kaiser Sacramento. She seemed very happy with it. Not that that gives you any detail, but hey all i can remember.

I had a hard time picking the one year site on that letter, i marked one in case the opportunity won't repeat itself but it was a tough decision

Anyone else who interviewed in November still waiting a decision from the ad com? I've been stuck in the "under review. no decision yet" status. Interviewed late Nov.

I interviewed mid November and just got decision reached last Tuesday. Hope that helps gauge it a little bit.

Also interviewed mid Nov and still at "interview has been scheduled." Curious why it's taking so long to even get to under review.

I interviewed mid-November and received the "decision reached/ letter mailed" status last Friday. Hope that helps a little.

Did everyone get an email when they got an interview? I just randomly checked today after slacking over the Holidays and had an interview but I don't know when I got it and I never received an email.

I was in the same situation; just go ahead and schedule the interview.

The invite appeared on my portal, I scheduled my interview and received a confirmation, and then 3 days later I got the email invite.

The interview invite first shows on the portal, and then is emailed a couple weeks later. My email for II came about a month after I scheduled my interview.

Does anyone on here know on which day of the week the committee meets? I think at the info session Mrs. Kennedy said they meet once a week, but just wondering which day I should perpetually check my status to see if it has changed to "decision reached."

Mine changed last Friday, if that helps.

Committee usually meets Thursdays, statuses usually change on Fridays.

Have not, but did you interview? You only get the background check at drexel if you interviewed. If you did, when did you get accepted? I still do not have a background check.

I believe they meet on Thursdays. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's Thursday.

My file has been compete for almost 4 months, and I haven't heard a thing. I've called periodically to inquire about the status of my application and they pretty much just tell me that my file is still under review. 4 months though??? It's super frustrating. Anyway, congrats to all those who are already accepted and thise preparing to interview.

They saw your application and have passed on it for now. But as one of the biggest med school they have one of the biggest movements on their wait lists, so you have hope!

So they don't just send out a rejection letter at this point because I haven't even gotten interview consideration??
