II this AM. I'll be there October 1.

OOS, MD/MPH applicant. 32/3.5. Nontrad, Military Vet, well traveled, Master's Degree, tons of extracurriculars - research, nonprofit founder, clinical and nonclinical volunteering in US and abroad. Complete 29 August.
 
My app said "complete" on 9/3, but when I went to check my status today, it just changed from "no decision had been made about your application" to "your file is complete and will be reviewed"
So which date am I considered complete? And should I get an email?

Has anyone who submitted individual letters instead of a committee letter had their application marked as complete?

I had the exact same thing happen to me today too. I have no definite answer but I'm going with the original complete date (mine was 9/2) because it doesn't seem like Drexel necessarily updates your status immediately after each change. Either way it's barely a week's difference, in the grand scheme of waiting for months I don't think it'll matter. 🙂

Edit: I just checked and I got a complete email on 9/2 as well, so I'm definitely going with that date.
 
Anyone that submitted on the third should check their status. Checked it today and everything was gone, called in and I have to redo the entire thing 😱
 
would taking a later interview date hurt you from a med schools perspective? i.e. due to extenuating circumstances, you had to sign up for a december interview even though there were september interview spots open? also, would med schools take the fact that you were offered an interview earlier in the cycle into account, especially if you explained why you couldn't make the earlier interview? i ask because i dont want to be dinged for taking a much later interview date D:

From what I've learned, earlier the better, always...even jobs. Most of these schools are rolling admissions and it only gets more competitive with time.
That's why I'm a little bugged about my secondary mishap. I submitted on 9/3, only to find it gone on 9/4 when I checked to see if my letters registered. I wrote an email to no reply, so I called them 9/8. It seems a system maintenance kept it from going through that day. FYI to check your status!!!
 
Does anyone know how long it takes for the app to show a 'complete' status after submitting the secondary? I already received a confirmation receipt for the fees and my letters are in. The app still shows 'incomplete' 😕

Takes a couple of days.
 
I submitted my application on 09/02 and the portal indicated everything was received that date. On 09/04 I was marked complete, but never received an email.

I have been checking my status regularly and today I noticed that my status had been changed back to incomplete. I called the office and the person I talked to said the secondary was never received. She didn't acknowledge any glitch in their system, but obviously something weird happened.

Make sure you continue to check your status, because apparently it can change after you're complete!!
 
If it's any help to folks, I was AMCAS verified on 8/7. Called the university today: woman acknowledged the glitch and said that in general they hope to have secondaries sent out to remaining folks by next week...

My status has also been changed to incomplete from complete. Does that mean I need to resubmit?! This sucks!
 
Do they not inform of IIs view email? Only by checking portal?

They do. I saw in the portal that I was invite for an interview, but had to wait till I received the email (5 days, including the weekend), which was when I was able to actually schedule it.

My AMCAS was verified on 8/8. Still havent got their sec app lol. I give up.

Submitted 9/7
Complete 9/10 (Hopefully it stays that way!)

Good luck to everyone else still waiting on a secondary. My unofficial advice is to enjoy life, start homebrewing, have some beers, and you'll notice a secondary in your inbox :banana:
 
Interviewed here two years ago but was waitlisted, improved my app and just got put on hold. 🙁
 
Word of advice again to those of you who it says "incomplete" for:

Call them, mine was complete. However, this week it changed to incomplete. Apparently there was a computer glitch and now I need to redo the secondary.
 
Just want to let you all know: I was marked complete earlier this month and went back and checked my status the other day. It said incomplete and showed that the actual secondary was missing, but everything else was there. When I called they said they had a big computer issue earlier this month, and it caused some secondaries to get lost. I have to re-submit which I don't mind since it is quick, but check your status! It would really suck if you paid the fee and submitted but didn't find out it happened until too late! Good luck! 🙂
