Drexel Secondary Rec'd. Verified 7/30 primary

I recently got an interview invitation from drexel, and somewhere I read that we would be given the names of the people who interview us. Where could we find the names of them if that's the case? I can't find them anywhere after I confirmed my interview.

Has anyone received a secondary yet? Does Drexel send automatic secondaries to everyone?

They send secondaries to everybody. They had a major tech issue and have been sending them out in small waves (unfortunately at random regardless of AMCAS verification date). You will get one, just no knowing when...

How much weight does drexel place on MCAT score?
I just answered your question on Penn State's thread. Every school puts a great deal of emphasis on the MCAT. Instead of posting on every single threat, why don't you just look at the MSAR and compare your score with their 10% percentile? If you are at or above the score then you are good to go.

Thats usually the morning of the interview

Complete 8/29, has anyone received an II around this date?

I was never complete because I never received a secondary. My AMCAS was submitted to Drexel on 7/28/2014

Sorry I meant verified/added. I added Drexel mid-August and I received my secondary yesterday….. I'm not sure what's going on…

Please tell me I'm not the only one who hasn't gotten there secondary yet as of today??

You're not alone. Since there's nothing much we can do to accelerate the process I think the best thing to do is just try not to think about it and know that when you do get it, the turn-around time will be super quick. So you will know pretty quickly if you got an interview or not, most likely.
Though this is pretty annoying...but out of our control at the moment.

Still no secondary here as well. For the record, I did call them yesterday and they did say they are still sending them out.

Seems like Drexel has been rather slow with secondaries this year. I added Drexel to my AMCAS on 7/5/14 and didn't get a secondary until 8/27/14 -- that's like 7 weeks wait? They may just follow a later timeline than many of the other schools?

Does anyone know if they accept update letters through their "questions for the admissions office" email?...

From their website:
https://www.drexelmed.edu/Home/Admissions/MDProgram/ApplicationProcess.aspx#Updates

"Application updates are accepted only from students who have been invited for an interview and for those who have been interviewed and waitlisted. We will accept updated transcripts, new letters of recommendation, updates on activities and/or letters of interest."

for that interview ethics essay, does anybody know what kind of questions they asked about?

Anyone who's interviewed all ready able to share some general info???...was it super conversational/bioethics questions/etc.???

Question for those who submitted the secondary:

I logged into the "application status" section and it says my status is still incomplete. How long did it take between submitting your secondary and becoming complete?

Hey does anyone who has an upcoming interview here want to mock interview eachother over skype? I did one with another applicant I met on a different thread and it was very helpful for both of us. PM me if you're interested,

My interview is on Thursday, so I'd probably want to do it either today or tomorrow

A good 13 days...

I don't know, but I've been reading past threads and it is supposed to be relatively easy. I find out tomorrow :nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting:
good luck!! can you let us know the type of questions that they ask? i read that it is not medically related, but want to know if that is still the case

For those who submitted the secondary...did you receive a complete status email? Thank you for your help! 🙂

Status just changed to your file is complete and will be reviewed. How long after that did you get a decision

It took me like a week or two. Short turnaround...with an unfortunate ending haha

Interview was today. Everyone seemed very nice. Interviewer just went over my AMCAS info with the typical interview questions (why medicine, why drexel, etc...). Ethics essay was very simple. Not medically related. If you have common sense you know what the right answer is. Very short.

I should add that my group was the first group they interviewed ~14 applicants.

Instant liver cirrhosis.
Okay, everybody

I wasn't too worked up about not receiving a secondary in a timely way, given that they're having computer glitches. But when I see that interviews have started, it's a little unnerving.

Did you have one faculty and one student interviewer? I heard student interviews were pretty relaxed and usually done during lunch.. was this true?
