Does anyone have any general advice for interviews at Mercer? This will be my first MD interview and I don't really know what to expect other than, "Why do you want to be a doctor?" or "Why do you think Mercer is the right school for you?"
Thanks in advance.
One thing I think is to be able to talk about any experiences you've had in the past that could have prepared you for the problem based learning format. Both of my interviewers asked about that. Also I got asked a couple times about living/working in rural areas.
Other than that, the questions were pretty general. The interviews are open file but they are kinda encouraged not to look at the files before the interviews, to avoid bias I guess. So I did get asked about my GPA, MCAT scores and stuff like that.
Good luck in your interviews!
