On hold. Have people in the past gotten interviews after being on hold?
Complete late July...not a peep. What gives?Complete in early Sept. IS applicant. Haven't heard a word. Lawddddd.
Same here, complete late july as well and nothing yetComplete late July...not a peep. What gives?
I actually got no ethics/healthcare questions. Both interviewers mostly asked general interview questions like "how would people describe you" and "why medicine." Some people said that they got more specific questions about their application though. I'm sure it varies a lot from interviewer to interviewer. Personally, I would say the best thing you could do is to take some time to reflect on what you've done and what your motivations are, and to relax because the interviews were really laid back. Everyone who interviewed the same day as me said so, too!Any advice/tips for the interview and the ethics/healthcare questions? Was the feel of it pretty laid back? I'm starting to get nervous!!
Pre-interview? If not, when did you interview?Placed on hold today via email. OOS, complete early september/late august, 69 LizzyM w/ MCAT retake.
Spoke too soon. On hold now :-/Complete in early Sept. IS applicant. Haven't heard a word. Lawddddd.
What does last year's thread say about people not on hold during this wave?On hold as well today. Pretty disappointed as I'm in state and was hoping this would be a school that came through.
If last years thread is any indication, it doesn't seem like many applications come off the pre II hold list. The few that did were after the new year and near the end of the application cycle.
Same as above: On hold, IS, complete late August/early September if I recall correctly.

Ha I just figured because you read through in detail you might've picked that up. It was worth a shot. You're going to be a joy to collaborate with. I'll read and let others know what I find 🙂.Maybe you should go back and check it out!
Excellent idea!😉Ha I just figured because you read through in detail you might've picked that up. It was worth a shot. You're going to be a joy to collaborate with. I'll read and let others know what I find 🙂.
Anyone else not hear anything today?
Pre interviewPre-interview? If not, when did you interview?
No news here either. Complete beginning of August. OOS. 68 LizzyM.I haven't either. Lol
Isn't it a private school? What a confusion-inducing name of so!!Not to bring anyone's II down, but it really makes me mad Penn STATE doesn't seem to give much preference to people who are IS.
I read through a bit of the thread and couldn't seem to find a pattern of those of us not on hold after the first wave. It seems some were later put on hold, some were outright rejected around mid-November and some received Interviews...Ha I just figured because you read through in detail you might've picked that up. I got mine 3 hours ago. I'm assuming more won't be sent today since it's 9pm on the east coastWere all of these holds sent earlier today, or are they still coming out?
Thanks! I was about to report that I didn't find a trend either but my phone died and I'm flying today. Well here's to finding out what it means!I read through a bit of the thread and couldn't seem to find a pattern of those of us not on hold after the first wave. Were you rejected post-interview?Lol was I the only one who heard back today that was rejected? Anyway, GL to people on hold and who haven't heard back yet. No news can definitely be good news sometimes.
Were you rejected post-interview?
Thank you!! This was very helpful 🙂I actually got no ethics/healthcare questions. Both interviewers mostly asked general interview questions like "how would people describe you" and "why medicine." Hope this helps 🙂
On Hold...Interview in september. Anyone know chances of acceptance of hold list. Don't think it's very high since they are rolling admissions.
