Has anyone who interviewed before the new year gotten off the hold list? Everyone here seems to be recent holds... ugh 🙁
Hold since October!

I interviewed the first week of November.
I think this is the Facebook group:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/325214431015097/
I think they also have another one, but you should still join the main group (if you want to)Are entering MD/PhD's welcome in the group, or do they have a separate one?
Anyone know if, at this point, being on the waitlist vs. hold list matters?
Thanks!It's the same.
anyone have any insight on the housing? is there limited space for campus housing? seems pretty well priced but I don't know much about the surrounding area. is it walkable from there to the hospital?
could you link the group? still walkable from the apartments? It is very walkable, but campus housing has been full for nearly a couple of weeks now. There are some apartment complexes in the area and they are filling up fast too. Much of the housing talk has been happening on the facebook group. Are you on there?

thanks for the information. do you think it's doable to live in Hershey without a car? Doesn't seem like there are many stores within walking distance
It is not impossible to live without car, but you will waste much time walking/biking to get around. I'd rather save time than money during med school.thanks for the information. do you think it's doable to live in Hershey without a car? Random question-- does anyone remember what the LOR requirements are? On the website it says "A composite recommendation from a pre-professional committee is strongly recommended. If there is no such committee, letters should be solicited from individual faculty members as outlined in the Secondary Application instructions." I don't even want to pay the primary fee if I don't fit the LOR requirement... I don't have a pre-med committee
Thanks so much! These non-science letters are killing me though!I applied during the 2014-15 cycle and still has access to my secondary app. You want:
1) at least 2 science letters
2) at least 1 non-science letter
3) at least 1 from someone else (faculty, employee, volunteer supervisor...)
(if you have multiple degrees then you need at least 1 letter from each institution)
(if you've done at least 1 year of grad school work or employment at the time of application then you need at least 1 additional letter from it)
I emailed their admissions. They said wait list will continue until end of julyI guess for those of us who are still on the waitlist... Its looking like a rejection at this point :-( oh well i was hoping there would be more waitlist movement but it didnt happen

Keep in mind that many students who lived at Briarcrest in MS1 are moving out of Briarcrest due to excessive utility costs and quality of maintenance. There are other places to rent fromA link is on the previous page of this forum. I am at work and facebook is blocked. Off the top of my head: Briarcrest is very close (like across the street close), Rosedale is about 1.9 mi away and they were full up when I last called them, and the only other place I know off the top of my head is Alpine heights also at 1.9 mi away. Briarcrest still had one or two rooms when I last called them and so did Alpine heights. I agree with @TxC 's assessment that the waitlist for on campus housing is unlikely to move, especially prior to orientation's start. People are finding housing as far away as Harrisburg though, which I think is about a 20 minute commute by car? So just in case you can't find a place in walking distance you will probably still be in good company.
Wait until @Lannister hears of their treachery...Penn State has bent the knee to the rightful king of Westeros via email. Interviewed 3/9.
