No problem! I actually can't find any hard data either. I think I'll email the school or a student to see if I can get something official. I will keep you updated 🙂

1. Is lecture attendance mandatory?
2. Are lectures recorded (just audio or visual as well?)

1. No but I believe the labs and stuff are
2. I don't believe so

Maybe someone else can confirm, but that's what I remember from my interview day!
 
I received a snail mail from the school about one week after my early January interview. Does anyone know the significance of it? Thanks!

Early in the cycle some people got them and some people didn't?
 
Can anyone (preferably someone already in 3-4th year, MS1 and 2 please as well) talk a bit about going to this school without knowing Spanish? I barely speak a few words, but there is a solid chance that its where I'll be headed next year. Is it a major issue? Can you still perform well in your clinical years with poor Spanish? Does their medical spanish class actually help in preparing you?
 
33MCAT and 3.7GPA, good ECs, completed in July. Is it normal not to receive an II for this stat? Anyone in the same boat? Probably something seriously wrong with my application?? Got IIs from three other schools in TX though.
Can I still expect an II this cycle??

Interviews in Texas are over (except maybe baylor) since our rankings are due tomorrow! Three interviews are still good and show that there is nothing wrong with your app!

Received my rejection letter today! Only applied to TMDSAS schools and this was the only school that didn't give me an interview, so I am not complaining, but still the wording of the letter is enough to put anyone down. Good luck to everyone that applied in the match!
 
Also got my rejection letter today. Seems unnecessary since rejection was already implied, but whatever!
 
My thoughts exactly!! If I didn't get an interview, I have already assumed you rejected me. Feels like rubbing dirt in a wound, haha. I see you also had many interviews, Silverflash! GL in match 🙂

Just got my rejection today. Gotta agree with you - compared to the ones I got for UTMB and UTH, this one has some poor wording. Onwards, though! Hope the match goes well for everyone!
 
Did anyone else receive a post-interview letter in the mail? It basically thanks me for interviewing at the school. I'm assuming it goes out to students who interviewed after the pre-match period. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

these are strong stats....They probably concluded that you may not attend and hence didn't want to waste an interview slot. This should not happen but In TX, I believe it happens

Has anyone here been/know anyone who has been on the Paul Foster Medical School wait list or any other in-state list?
How big are those lists usually? Are you informed of your position on the list by the school?

Andes, just based on what I could find from threads of years past, doesn't seem to be a significant amount of wait list movement... but I have no numbers and it's only off of what I could gather reading old posts. Hopefully, someone with real info can step in here??
 
I have a very snazzy bike, and I heard that there are miles of lovely trails in El Paso. Can someone elaborate on these trails? Are they paved, gravel, or mountain trails? Is there a place where many road cyclers/road runners go?
 
Just got an email from PLFSOM saying I'm on the alternate list

I'm not sure why I didn't put more excitement in my post lol, it was a sigh of relief because I didn't match anywhere! Let's hope for some waitlist movement this year. Like fifty would be nice right??

We have all of them!
the only thing else is El Paso is a horrible place for riding a bike on the busy streets as there is not many bike lanes and the ones we do have are tiny. but we have great paths!

Got my official acceptance packet in the mail today! I live in El Paso though so I will have got it only 1 day after they mailed it.

At least one person from last years's thread was rejected and didn't get on the waitlist post-interview.
