@myleftorpatientleft? How long does it take for your conditional acceptance to turn into an unconditional acceptance?
This was two years ago so the exact details/timing im not too sure of, but ill give it a go. There are two main things: a) your acceptance (probably the biggest factor) and b) your health approval. You need to be a "go" on both these ends. The health approval can be delayed be a couple of things like scheduling the screen or the need for waivers. IYour health records then get sent to a central office where theyre processed. Once they are processed, youll receive a letter/ you can check online after a period of time (therell be an estimate), telling you that you are medically cleared to join the military. Without delays this should take about 2 weeks. Once you are a go on both these ends then youre basically home free. After this, Itll probably take a month to get the paperwork that you have to sign. Make a copy of all the things you sign and save it in a folder. This will now be your military folder.
From my personal experience, I interviewed in October, got accepted into USUHS in december and i believe had my medical screening done in November (?). When i got back to school from Christmas break, the time sensitive documents (i.e unconditional acceptance) were already in my mailbox. I had to give the admissions office a call to let em know i was away when the letter came and they were more than accomodating. Again, this was some time ago, but i think this was the relative timing of things.
