Congrats! When were you complete? IS/OOS?II today! Going there on 12/04!
What happens to the students if the school loses accreditation while attending? I'm concerned about this.....they are the only school I know of on academic probation.
no I hadn't seen that, thanks...that was very helpful. Thanks for bringing this up because I would have had no idea otherwise. You may have already seen this, but I thought I'd post it anyway because it has some good info on the problem.

Thanks! Where did you hear that Re: IIs in Spring Semester?OOPS I'm so sorry I thought I have been following the thread for replies, but I guess it turned out that I haven't. I didn't send a real update per se, but I just emailed them saying that I'll be in the area in December. Email was sent during late Sept/early Oct and just last week I've received an email from the coordinator asking if I want to fill an interview spot for someone who withdrew.
Other than that UofL implied that they will start handing out IIs again in Spring semester
Congratulations!hey yallllll.... I got admitted! C/O 2019!! I will be looking for a roommate. And I am super excited... someone needs to make a facebook group!
I interviewed October 22 and found out November 12th! Finally made the decision that Louisville is the place for me.Congratulations!
When did you interview?
Have you checked your portal? Mine hasn't updated yet. I just got an E-mail that said I was accepted and that a letter would be mailed today.I interviewed on 10/22 and they have still not reviewed my file. People that interviewed after me are getting accepted before I hear a repsonse. Anyone want to shed some light unto what that means? Also I am an IS applicant.
I'm wondering the same thing as well. My flight is at 3.... and if I attend the class I might miss the flight.
lemmym are you going to UL on Thursday?
Congrats! Did you receive via email? Stats?II! OOS! Complete early August!
Congrats! Did you receive via email? Stats?
Told us the committee won't meet again until second Tuesday in JanDoes anyone know if the committee met today?
does anyone know if med schools drug test after acceptance before we start school?
There is definitely a significant IS bias at this school. Normally the class is made up of ~120 KY residents and ~35 nonresidents. Your stats are competitive for OOS consideration. EC's, volunteer experiences, etc. are just as important though. Unlike many other schools, UofL doesn't place all emphasis on numbers, but rather evaluates the individual as a whole. How amicable are they toward OOS with no state ties? I'm getting mixed signals on that. 3.9/35
Good to know; thank you. My volunteer experience, shadowing, and other experiences are good, but it's always good to know what I'm up against. There is definitely a significant IS bias at this school. They'll meet today!
On the side note: What are the chances that we are going to end up with "no decision" after this meeting?
interviewed on 12/11 and received no decision email and that it will be looked at next meeting
when did you interview"The University of Louisville School of Medicine Student Admissions Committee has reviewed your application for admission and your file has been placed in the wait list consideration pool for the entering class of 2015.
We anticipate that the files of candidates placed in the wait list consideration pool will be reevaluated during the months of February and March for final wait list selection." So from this point on the only options are wait list or rejection?
that is not necessarily true, they told us the same thing at our interview in December but said they obviously have to "oversubscribe" seats and give out more offers than seats due to some students not accepting. So I mean the chances are still higher to be waitlisted/rejected at this point but acceptances will still be given outJust so you all know I'm a late applicant, had to retake my MCAT so my primary wasn't complete until October. I have an interview the first week of February and I have been told by someone who just interviewed there a couple days ago that their class size is full and the only chance now is wait list or rejection. I'm still going to my interview, but I wanted to let everyone who is waiting around on decisions know.
