I'm pretty sure once you've been interviewed and ranked, you're locked at they ranking on the WL. They go through the WL from the top via rankings. I don't think there's a way to change your placement.

It was still in the top third the other day. There are a significant number of people joining the group so my guess is it is approaching the second third. The group is at about 86.

I have heard from a current student it's not. He says you're added to that as soon as you're accepted. Including people still holding multiple acceptances.. Which apparently there is still a handful. Also even when it is full there is movement as accepted people may get accepted off of a wait list at a school they prefer and choose togo there instead. They're in the high 40s on the wait list.
