Okay, someone help me here. I submitted my application a week ago, paid, and received payment confirmation by email. I didn't get submission confirmation via email; however, under the "APPLICATION STATUS", my page says "Submitted."

But... If I click on the README tab and scroll to the bottom, there's another link for checking the status of the application. After logging in there, it says my application is incomplete. Can someone else please check this on their page? Same thing? Also, is anyone seeing "Under Review" or something like that on their page?

No II, but I checked mine like you said and it seems like a completely different portal. I had to get a different password (clicked on forgot password) to log into this portal and it says that nothing is complete - no secondary, not rec, not fees. I wonder why that is. On the normal portal, I am complete

I just went to the link on the README tab and got the same thing. It says I haven't submitted a secondary or paid the fee even though I did... Let me know if you figure out why that is! It's making me a little nervous.

The link from the README tab looks like an older version of their admissions site. It starts with https://admissions.medschool.pitt.edu/, when the actual site is https://admissions2.medschool.pitt.edu/.

I would just ignore it.

Decisions are made on a rolling basis but are not released until January. So while Sept vs Oct doesn't really matter, Sept vs Dec makes a difference.

It's been suggested elsewhere that getting an earlier interview is best since the committee isn't bored to tears yet. 🙂

How does vacation work during 3rd/4th year? The online curriculum description doesn't go into a ton of detail.

Is it two 4-week blocks of "recess" total that can be used for vacation (including 4th yr interviews)?

You get 2 vacation months total. You usually reserve them for interviews and important events such as getting married, having a baby, etc. It's not advisable to take a vacation month in 3rd year unless absolutely necessary, as you need all your core rotations done before October of 4th year and you also want to fit in elective rotations in your expected specialty and most people also take a research month (or two).

So basically unless you're getting married or something in 3rd year, your only vacation is Thanksgiving and Christmas. Christmas break for us is shorter than for MS1/MS2.

Yes. I emailed them and they asked me to send them a file of my course requirements again so they can put it into the system. It's still blank as of now... (It happened to me like 2 weeks ago)

yup this happened to me too, I emailed and they got back to me the next day about getting them a word doc of course information.

34-36 MCAT and 3.6-3.7 gpa. So you can see why I am so excited! Definitely not a SDN superstar.
