I'm OOS but I attend UVA. I hope that gives me a boost. But I have the same concern as you.
No I think I've seen quite a few IS interviews.
If you look on earlier pages no, there's quite a few IS and only a couple OOS. Plus IS ppl are getting earlier interview dates too :/
Ooh ok, well that makes more sense. With my stats I'll probably end up with a later date (if I'm lucky to get an II at all lol)
VCU has used a very un-conventional strategy to implement their IIs and acceptance; and it makes it hard to many applicants to manage their portfolio. I am very curious, at the end of the day, it really works well for all (VCU and applicants).
Wow, I didn't realize rejections were going to come out this early! Nice to get it over with though instead of waiting 6 months I suppose. I got the "Your M.D. file is now complete. The Admissions Committee will now do a comprehensive review of your application. Once the review is complete, your file will be prioritized, and interviews will be granted based on your priority score and the date your file was completed." email from them just today. Holding my breath to see what happens. I suppose I won't hear anything from them until at least next week anyway as my new MCAT score won't be released until then.
(Stops holding breath) (GASP!) Whew I'm glad you said something, I was getting blue in the face!

Ouch. 😢 On the upside, I think a lot of people will end up withdrawing if they get acceptances prior to that date. VCU is an awesome school, but if someone reaches the later half of the interview cycle with an acceptance in hand and a struggling bank account, I'd bet they'd forego their pending interviews.
I got the "very interested" status on 7/30, so I'm hoping I get an II in the near future.
Took them over a week to receive mine. Not sure if this is the norm or not 🙂
What's the "May" status?! Also do you get to choose a date or they just give you one? Thanks in advance!
I got the message that basically says based on my priority as an applicant, they may or may not end up offering an interview to me. I think someone posted it verbatim a few pages back. To answer your other question, I have to call admissions in the morning because I'm getting a message saying there are no more available slots.
