2014-2015 Wright State University Application Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Call them up, I had the same issue with a different school.
I called on July 25th trying to find out if I lost the secondary application. I was told to call back on August 8th because they were just starting classes. Has anyone been able to talk to admissions?

Good to know, thanks! I'll call them up on the 8th

FYI: I stopped in the admissions office last week, and they said they will not even start looking at applications until the middle of this month.

I also know they changed up the process last year. They waited until later in the cycle, January if I remember correctly, to look at applicants with an MCAT score around 30 or below. Since I fall into that range, I am hoping they revert back to the old way this year. I have strong ties to WSU and really want to attend Boonshoft.

I'm in the same boat...fingers crossed

So last year they interviewed based on MCAT score and not when you submitted?

I am also similar state-wise as you. I had a friend who is a MS2 at WS talk to adcom and they said those stats are competitive but make sure to apply ASAP. So hopefully they interview based on application received and not selectivity.

I just finished the post-bac program at WSU, and my advisor stated last year was the first time they did it that way. She has no idea what they are doing this year, but she did say they run a review of all the Ohio students around December-January to make sure they have reviewed all the Ohio applicant's files. I personally know several students, faculty, and admissions committee members at Boonshoft, and they all said the same thing—get the app in early.

Guess all we can do now is cross our fingers!

verified in June with all the materials submitted, and still no secondary....

I am in the same boat--I emailed them and they said they're still in the process of sending out secondary links and that I should get mine in the next week or so.

Finally got a secondary. Wright State was the last school I was waiting on too! Verified 7/16

Still haven't gotten mine. Is anyone else verified in mid/late July still waiting?

I just got mine today and was verified in June.

Question regarding state residency. My permanent address is in Ohio (parent's live/work there too) and I have an OH driver's license, but I just moved to PA temporarily to work here for a year so my current address is a PA address. Would I still be considered OH in-state for admissions purposes?

Complete here since August 14th. Their program seems very unique, and I would love to see what they have to offer if granted the II. OOS, PA resident.

Got an II today! I wish my September/October schedule was more open.

Just got a II here today! OOS not early decision. complete 7/17 similar LizzyM as sahmoc

Interview invite yesterday! It came via email, and I had to call and schedule it.

For those with IIs, when did you submit the secondary?

Does anyone know what the max LORs are for this school? They say they want at least 3 science profs from school. I submitted two science from my undergrad and one from grad. I hope that is ok.

Their website says they want 3 letters, 2 being from science professors. I think you should be fine, but it never hurts to check with them
