Congrats to all those accepted! Could you please let me know if you have any information on how many spots are available. Like did they say anything at the interview

ii here! Very excited! Can any accepted students and/or current students list out the pro's of this school from their view? I'm still cruising through the MSAR and school website but I always appreciate unique perspectives

Current students are happy they chose Boonshoft, and they all seem to get along really well. Plus, you could be my classmate. Enough said...

Haha, well, anything beyond these stated facts?

Coming from a highly-populated undergraduate institution, I loved that the class size and the facilities were on the smaller side. The SOM is pretty much in one building, and it's a very nice facility. The anatomy labs are AWESOME. The students seemed very energetic and enthusiastic (something that's apparently hard to find in medical students nowadays). All of my fellow interviewees were VERY friendly, not competitive and egotistic like some I've met at other interviews.

One pro that really won me over, was how they cared about me as an individual. The faculty, staff and students were friendly and open in a way I had not experienced at any other school. In terms of curriculum, I liked the notion of Team Based Learning, and how the school truly fosters a collaborative environment.

For those who have been accepted earlier than me, how long did it take for the packet to arrive in the mail? Are we supposed to call the admissions office and respond to the acceptance or do we just wait for the physical mail to arrive?

I was wondering the same thing, I thought for some reason I would have it today lol!

I received my acceptance via email 11/6 and my acceptance letter came much later. I believe it indicated on the offer it was mailed on 11/14. My circumstance may be unique because the admissions staff were out for an AAMC conference for a few days around my acceptance. That probably delayed things.

Ohh... Okay that makes sense! Thanks for responding, means a lot!

No problem. If I remember correctly, the acceptance email said that I should expect my packet to come in about a week. When it didn't I called the admissions office. They explained they had been out at the AAMC conference.

So, that two week time frame the website gives for accepting an offer of admission before it is released...does that apply to the physical packet? There was no indication in the email... #paranoidpremed

My email said to accept and return documents as soon as possible.

Yes, there is an offer sheet where you must accept or decline the offer. Don't stress about it. Just sign and return it once you get it. For example, as I said above, I received my acceptance via email 11/6. However, I didn't sign and return the offer until 11/25 due to the delays I explained previously. So mine was almost 3 weeks after.

Anyone here receive an ii that was complete in September?

Wait listed...anyone know how long it usually takes to get taken off the list or what the chances are of getting taken off? I have been accepted to two DO schools and don't know how long I should wait to hear back

It sounds like list rankings are set around mid April after the final interviews. Movement on the list should start mid-May as the letter states, due to the reservation deadline, and continues up to the week before classes. They rank in thirds (top, middle, bottom) and typically make it into the middle third but there is no guarantee.

When did you interview?

I just got an interview invite about a week ago for Feb. 11th! Any advice on what the weather is like this time of year? I'm from AZ so I have zero experience with winter…

I'm from Indiana, so I can offer some insight. The weather sucks.. Highs in the 30s, cars frosted in the morning, and snow every couple weeks (including this coming week). However, you'll be fine! Just bundle up and prepare for the worst. There hasn't been anything too serious yet this year.

Thanks for the info! I just bought a coat so hopefully that will keep me warm enough… The weather here in phoenix has been in the 70's so it will be fun to experience a real winter for a change!

Funny I was just in Phoenix this past week! You will miss Phoenix weather that's for sure. I hope you like snow!

Yeah, no need to overdo it with the coat. It's not arctic by any means. Something to break the wind should be fine. Good luck!

Has anyone stayed at the Red Roof Inn right by the school? Was it okay? lol it's super cheap so I'm nervous

What a small world! Were you interviewing at UofA Phx?
I wish, I was actually there for the NFL pro bowl game and to check out the Super Bowl festivities. My buddy got free tickets and gave me a good excuse to get down to Arizona to visit him for the week. He lives on the edge of Tempe by the airport. Absolutely loved it down there.

Anyone know if they are receptive to "in the area" emails?

Anyone here know till when Wright State continues to give out ii? Also, have they sent out any pre-interview rejections?

That's awesome. The weather was weird the days leading up to the game but the weather on game day was just perfect! I live right by there as well! Crazy how things can work out that way lol.

Has anyone been successful in calling the admissions office to check their application status?
