For those who have interviewed already, what taxi service did you use?
 
To people who have been accepted- do you know if we have to send in mid-year transcripts? Or do we only send spring transcripts? I tried to find information on the PSU webpage and I didn't see anything. Thanks!

"You are required to submit a final official transcript of your academic record, including degree(s) conferred and the date(s) of conferral, to the Office of Admissions prior to matriculation." That is straight from the acceptance letter. I would assume once you are done with classes in spring so that it can show the degree(s) you have been conferred and would include your classes from fall so it should all be covered in that last final official transcript 🙂

I just got my letter and saw that info but thanks for the answer!
 
I was complete early Sep ! and heard no words since ... not even on hold .. nothing ! starting to think that they didn even bother sending me a rejection letter ... +pissed+ ... Oh well 🙁
 
I feel like no response is better than hold. Case has been interviewing people without holds before people with holds. Penn state just hasn't gotten into their hold list yet idk if they even will tbh

I hope so ! How do they notify you if they put you on hold ? Do they Email or just status update ?
 
Yeah I was complete early Sept. and was notified of hold status on Oct. 20, via email and a letter posted to portal
 
Got interview invite couple days ago. However I'm already accepted to state school as well as another school. My mcat is in psu 80th percentile. Does psu give scholarships????? And how much ?

Uber exists out there! My family lives in Harrisburg, and I can tell you there's not really anything exciting to do besides shopping and eating. But I enjoy those things, and I'm sure you do as well. I think Hershey Park is closed now so you can't even do that.

I do enjoy those things. Well hopefully I get accepted and the school is a good fit when I visit!

Harrisburg Airport doesn't allow for Uber pickups, you should probably rent a car.
 
Was just put on " continue to review" today. Anybody else got this email? Isn't it too late to be put on hold since they are almost done interviewing? Thanks!

At least you heard something! I do not think they are still done sending IIs tho. a coupla ppl got IIs this week. The fact that you are not rejected means they are still considering you i guess.

In my case maybe i missed an email or something (altho i check my spam emails like all the time). Those who got rejected does your portal say rejected ? Maybe I was rejected and I just missed an email (unlikely) ! 😵 (plz interview me 🙁)

You could check the communications tab on the portal to see if you've missed an email

I still havent been rejected, put on hold, or told that there was a continued review.

I just did. Nothing ... when were you complete if you dont mind me asking ? I was complete early September

Thanks, that's good to know. I checked the airport and they do say there's a cab service so I might try that. I'm really not up for driving after a long flight haha!

No idea, sorry. Someone above said it as if it was a different status, but I haven't gotten any updates so I don't know

I flew into Harrisburg Airport at the end of winter break and took a taxi back to the med center area and it was so expensive...depending on how much exploring you want to do, renting a car could be a good idea.

Chocolate World, Tanger Outlet...Troegs is a pretty cool brewery. Nothing too much to do but a decent amount of restaurants around.

I had my interview 11/30 and the woman said 6-8 weeks but don't be surprised if its longer than 8 because of the holidays

Hmm good to know. I don't plan on doing any exploring so we'll see.

But I've actually never rented a car from an airport before, and I'm not 25 yet so I'll have to make some calls.

Thank you! I'm glad, I had honestly given up on psu so getting this interview was out of left field. But definitely goes to show that you shouldn't count yourself out until you get a rejection!

I don't think there is because I just got an email from them with the subject title saying my app is on hold, and in the email text it said I'm in the "continue to review" category...hoping to get something out of this, fingers crossed
 
Anyone interviewing on the 22nd? I will be coming in on the 21st and have the whole day to chill so if others are coming, we should all meet up!!
 
Supposedly a huge blizzard/storm coming next week. Hope it doesn't interfere, does anyone know if they cancel interviews cause of snows or delays it due to flight delays?

I think my nerves are sinking in too much.
