What do you guys generally think about taking step 1 after year 3? (since this is the plan for class of 2020 and perhaps other classes thereafter)?
Also curious...

12/14!
I don't mind it-ish. I think having more time to study and added clinical knowledge can be helpful, but who I network with/electives/order of rotations etc would be different if I score 220 on Step vs 260. It would be nice to know my score before 3rd year. And then you take Step 2 basically right after. --> Not a plus, but not a reason not to chose Penn State. Sorry for the late response but no I did not see it updated on there. I just called admissions a couple of times to make sure they received it. It did take about 10 days after I sent it for them to process it and I live about an hour away.Congrats on the II!! Did you notice by any chance if your updated transcript appeared on the portal document status page? I sent a transcript a week ago, but am unsure if PSU received it. Thanks!
I'm pretty sure they said that for the 3 year program you get charged for 4 years' worth of tution, but the last year is covered by a full-tuition scholarship (so you pay for 3 yrs). If you don't do family med, you need to pay for that 4th year. Plus it will probably be hard to match non-FM specialties if you don't switch out of the 3yr program before you finish?Does anyone know anything about the 3 year Medical school 3 year family medicine residency program beyond the general info on the brochure? I am genuinely considering it.
What if someone starts the program and soon discovers they would like to do a different speciality. Can they change their speciality or are they stuck with family medicine?
For people who used student housing for the night before the interview, how long after filling out the housing survey did it take for them to contact you about who you'd be staying with?
Congratulations !! Were you on hold?
Yes, I've been on hold for quite some time. IS LizzyM 67.Congratulations !! Were you on hold?

This program will be discussed at Second Look Day by the family medicine MD who runs it, if you happen to be coming 😉
I'm OOS, MCAT 504, science/cumulative GPA ~3.75, 4000+ clinical hours and 200+ volunteer hours. Not sure what dates they had open. I declined the II because I got into my IS school. Good luck to everyone! 🙂Congrats! Do you mind sharing stats. IS/OOS?

Just got offered a II. Any idea of the turnover for interviews this late in the season?
In other words, if I interview next Friday, how long should I expect to wait until I hear back from them?

Sorry about that having a bad morning. I quickly misread your post as arrogant and it was not at all. Congrats and please accept my apology. I hope it goes well.

It took most people 6-8 weeks to hear back when we interviewed in JanuaryNo worries, early morning misreads are a common thing. And thank you, too!

Called the Admissions office yesterday; they said they would be sending out II's until March 15th.What is the likelihood of receiving an interview invite after being placed on pre-interview hold?
Do they still have any interview spots open?
Just out of curiosity, when did you submit your secondary? What is the likelihood of receiving an interview invite after being placed on pre-interview hold?
