Is it normal for people who interview on the same day to hear back on different dates? My portal hasn't cleared and no email 🙁

Same boat. Interviewed 11/16 and nothing yet. I'm thinking it might be because I applied for the MD-MPH program and the rural med program, so maybe it's a longer process?
 
Question for any current students or admin:

Does anyone out of state establish NY residency? I'm already graduated from ug and have been working for the last ~year. If establishing residency is possible for M3-4 years I might start filing separate taxes from my parents to show financial independence. That would be incredible if I could get some tuition break the last few years if I show and prove a commitment to NY state
 
I'm hoping this won't be too difficult - accepted OOS and kind of dreading spending >60k/yr on tuition.
 
Does anyone know when the second look day will be?
 
Question for people on the High Priority Waitlist: When I got my interview, my portal had this page that allowed me to upload a bunch of stuff (update letters, transcripts etc.). This page stayed that way after I got onto the waitlist back in October. Then, when I went on there today to upload my last semester's transcript, the portal changed back to what it looked like before I got an interview, which is basically nothing. So now I can't find the page where I can upload all that stuff. Did this happen to any of you guys? I hope this is not some sort of bad sign🙁

This is normal, the portal clears to basically nothing after a decision is made. I'm on the HPA list as well, and as I understand it there's not much an update can do once you're on the list anyway. I would recommend you give an email or call to their admissions office, they are prompt and very helpful.

Have an interview here next week, worried about flying in Sunday with the forecasted snow storm. anyone else in the same boat? :/ Hoping the flight won't be cancelled.

Anouncement to all who were accepted or are still in the running! On the secondary applicatiom you had to disclose all offenses even if they are non-criminal. If you did not disclose things like tickets or other violations call them or send an email to be safe than sorry.

edit2: as an aside, it looks like this means year2 ends early and they're currently deciding on what to do with the extra time (Phase2 is revamping of years 3&4)

The letter came a week or so within the portal change.

I think it's fine to email them if there's something to email about. (I am not a student so I didn't have anything like that)

I am at school and don't have the acceptance letter with me. Does anyone know if it states any specific requirements for finishing out your course load (i.e., must get a 3.0 or higher)? Thanks in advance.

I don't have it with me either but I think there's something about C or higher in all coursework.. not sure.

I have the acceptance letter only a C or above, but I still suggest you try your best,
 
Rejected post-interview and really surprised honestly, I thought the interview went well...not sure where I went wrong...🙁
 
Seems like only a couple of people received a decision right after their portal cleared.. looks like we might have to wait until the end of the week? :/

it definitely takes at least a day or two.. some people even longer.
 
My portal cleared on a Monday, found out three days later on Thursday.
 
Got put on the high priority alternate list today. Interviewed on 1/13. Hoping for some movement this year!!! Good luck to the rest of you all!

How did you find this out? Portal or email? Also on the portal, if you go into the Fall 2016 application, down where it shows they received your payment, does it show that they are waiting to receive your school transcripts?

I got their decision via email this afternoon. I just checked my portal - I don't think I saw anything about transcripts

It's not on the main page, it's when you click into the application where it has your info, name, etc.. At the bottom it shows when they received your secondary and payment, but does it also show a spot for transcripts?
