Congratulations man! Love your username.

May I ask when you were complete/under review for the school?

I was complete and under review early like 5/12. I was stressing because a lot of people on here were complete later than I was.

I submitted my secondary today. I also paid the fee, but I didn't receive the email receipt and I don't have a "true" for the secondary fee on BAMF yet. Does that mean it didn't go through?

Edit: I just saw that it takes 5-10 days to process the secondary fee. But shouldn't I still have received the email receipt?

I got an email receipt for the payment but it took a while for the payment to show up as received in the portal. If you didn't get the email receipt might be worth checking into.

As far as I know, they don't send any complete emails though.

I did it also yesterday and got the receipt immediately. Check if your card was charged or not to see if the payment went through.

Can anyone who interviewed Thursday comment on the day?

Second this, any info would be great. I have to travel from Temple to Round Rock just to interview.
Also, do we get info on the interview (such as interview timings, exact locations, etc.) when we arrive to the info session?

I am confused on the first essay prompt asking "Describe briefly any experiences and/or skills that have made you more sensitive or appreciative of other cultures or the human condition. (3500 character maximum)." I am wondering how others have approached this? I understand I am a bit late in getting my secondary in but would really appreciate any advice. Did you simply state different examples and describe them? Or did you write a full standard essay like the personal statement?: Introduction, three body paragraphs, conclusion?

I did an essay type because I focused on my experiences abroad that shaped me. If you have multiple experiences you can do an essay type and use those experiences as the body of your essay. This is coming from someone who likes essay type response because it helps me convey my ideas effectively. Hope this helps.

+1 on essay format. I just like that ideas can flow together in an essay, but if the experiences you want to use don't relate to each other, I think you could write individual paragraphs for each, as long as it is clear you purposefully did not link thoughts 🙂

I actually submitted late May, which makes it worse. I feel like there are a couple others in our situation though, just looking at the different Texas threads.
Any news on invites for people who submitted secondaries around 6/15-6/25?

3.91/31. MCAT is low but relatively high cGPA as eng major (idk if that actually matters)

Any one interviewing on 08/06 going for the social or staying with a student host.

I want to but I'm not sure I'm gonna make it in time, making the drive down after work which always ends late. Staying in a hotel, so the social would have been a nice chance to talk to the students! Are you planning on it?

Would like to have some kind if interaction with the students pre-interview. Would like to attend the social, but thats' if I can make it there in time.

@Lanoserol I had my interview on the 30th. I didn't attend the social and I felt I had plenty of interaction with the students. Students ate breakfast with us, had a panel with us during lunch and answered questions, and then sat with us while we waited for our turn with interviews (interviews lasted 2 hours, we each had two 30 minute interviews, a 30 minute tour, and 30 minutes to talk with more students). I think I met at least 10 different students and had meaningful conversations with around 3.

I would have loved to attend the social but I wasn't able to because I worked. Don't feel bad if you can't--you have plenty of time to meet with the students. It was very personal; there were only about 20 interviewees.

The students gave plenty of interview tips and filled you in on the people interviewing you if they knew them.

I agree that there was plenty of time for student interaction.

Though, I did enjoy the social a lot, and it was nice going in to interview day and seeing a few familiar faces.

Did anyone who has already interviewed do so at the temple campus?

Yep! I was there last week. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and relaxed. I had a good time. Try to make it to the dinner with the students the night before the interviews.

Congratulations swivelj and lomm! Lomm can you share when you complete for this school?

Hey guys, I received an invite this AM for 8/20 interview at Temple. Primary was transmitted 5/18, secondary was finished 6/19.
Another question, all we have to do is rsvp right?

^ Julio Jones fan from Texas? Where's the Texan pride?!

Congratulations! Hope I get one soon since I'm around the same stats/submission date.

Oddly enough, one of my buddies from college (OOS from Cali) with an 83 LizzyM was complete July, 3 and was invited for an interview on July, 23. He decided to push it back in the end though.

I was watching a Falcons game when I signed up for an account and sadly can't figure out how to change it to DezBryant... Considering we have interviews already at 3 of the same schools I'd imagine it would be coming soon for you!

LizzyM of 83???? He should be interviewing the schools not the other way around.

Got my II yesterday for 8/20! Had to push it back, though.

Relevant info for other people:
- 75+ LizzyM, in state
- Under review first week of July
- Told that interviews only happen on Thursdays

I got an II at the temple campus for 8/20 and traveling to round rock. Does the invite for the social come later than the II?

The email should contain info for the social as well.
