I'm IS and submitted like 7/20ish but I'm not sure I was complete until August (umass sure likes its random emails, can't remember which was complete). still waiting. only change was I noticed that someone validated my residency

Submitted around the same time and was complete then according to the portal but who knows. I also noticed residency validation pretty early on (August, I think).
 
II this afternoon! LizzyM 71-73, nontrad, and OOS. Got the complete email 9/18.

Has anyone attempted to reschedule their interview? How receptive was admissions to that? I have an exam the day after and another interview on Wednesday, plus a full-time job, so I really need to reschedule this.

You can only reschedule to a later date. It may even be months later.
 
when they say bring a copy of your ID, do they mean another ID? like a license and a passport to verify or just a license and a photocopy of it?

License and photocopy was fine for me.
 
Rejection, complete e-mail 9/18, OOS.

Applied for location, expected this given the nontrad/Lizzy~68/OOS cluster I have going. Oh well!
 
Got my II today!! IS, completion email 9/18. I believe I sent my secondary in at the beginning of August.

I'm so excited, it's my first interview of the season, and UMass is my top choice :3

What date did they give you? I got 1/11/2016 which seems really far out to me...

They just opened up admissions to OOS applicants this year. Previous year numbers are probably MD/PhD applicants. 🙂

Oh, I did too! I will see you there 🙂 I think they only schedule 1-2 days of interviews per month, and I'm pretty sure they fill them sequentially. I was looking at the previous year's thread, and people who received invites in November were scheduled for February.

Congratulations!!!! Your IIs are making me even more impatient to hear from UMass, haha 😛
 
Has anyone else had an issues accessing their status online? It was working up until today.

They are not given out sequentially based on what I have seen.
 
II today! IS with LizzyM ~71 - all of my application materials were submitted 7/28 (although I did not get a complete email until 9/18)

oh my tour guide took us outside! It depends on what they feel like, really. But they probably won't if yours is in January

I was hoping to hear back today. But if not today, then likely the next friday. This would only be for the strongest appicants however. Most have to wait until april to hear anything.
 
Does umass really cost 65k to attend? I thought it was considered much cheaper than private schools
 
According to their tuition and fees page, the estimated cost of attendance for the 2015-2016 first-year class will be around 65k (the curriculum fee increased about 8k compared to the 2014-2015 first-year class).

While I like this school and am excited to interview here, I'm worried about how much tuition will cost for OOS students...
 
Has anyone been accepted yet here? Or do you know anyone who has?

Do you have an idea as to when decisions will come out? What makes you say that no decisions have been made yet? Did they say something during your interview day? Thanks!
 
All they said at the interview was that as soon as the committee (28 members) vote and make a decision, the applicant is informed within 12-24 hours of that decision. They didn't mention anything about acceptances going out already, but I suppose it is possible that some people have heard back or will hear back very soon!

All components of my application were complete in mid-July, but I only received an from UMass indicating that my application was under review in mid-September. I was assigned early January for my interview date (I didn't have a choice of date).

I interviewed here late in the cycle (in march) and was interviewed off the WL on the first day, so just wanted to plug in a reminder that UMass pulls heavily off its WL as it doesn't over admit all that much. Unsure how that will change with the admittance of OOS applicants, so this cycle is as big a guess for me as it is for you.

Also, UMass is notoriously slow in regards to the application cycle. Expect to hear nothing for a long time. It doesn't mean anything.

I'm wondering if any acceptances have gone out from UMASS. It's the school I want to attend the most but all I've gotten is silence 🙁

I'm a random first year not an admissions dean so your guess is as good as mine. I try to keep as low a profile as possible with regards to the administration so I have no idea.
 
My LizzM is around 63.4 and I got an II for Nov 23rd like in Sept 30. I was pretty stoked when I opened my email. BU rejected me though 🙁 I completed everything around mid August.
 
Is there a traditional interview component to interview day or just the MMI? How was the rest of the day? Can someone share a loose agenda?
 
It's just MMI, no traditional interview.

When I interviewed in Oct., the MMI was in the afternoon, and other events (MMI orientation, lunch, info sessions about school/financial aid, tour) happened late morning/early afternoon. Good luck!

What did they tell you about when you'd hear back?
 
II today!!!! Completely giddy because top choice and I didn't think I'd even make it this far. Interview isn't until March 3rd though...

Hi there, I'm a current student and just wanted to let you know that while the interviews are indeed all MMI, sometimes one or two of the MMI "stations" have traditional interview style questions such as asking you to explain why you want to be a doctor. Hope that makes sense/is helpful.
 
Any recent MD/Phd invites? Anyone know what the acceptance percentage is after interviewing?
