when were you complete?

my portal says "Your application has been reviewed by the Admissions Committee at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. At this time, a final decision has not been reached on your application"

But for my MD/MPH I'm currently under review

I was complete 11/20/2015

I was interviewed 1/15/2016

I got the status change today in the morning.

I interviewed the week before you and mine says "a final decision has been reached" and to call if I don't receive a call or email in the next week.

Its funny because some people who interviewed with me, already got waitlisted, yet you interviewed before me, and no decision has been made. When did you get that status update?

What?? That's weird. I checked it today. It didn't say that 2 weeks ago when I checked last.
 
Someone may have already asked this but does anyone know when UM will create a financial aid profile for you? Or if they already did where I can find one?

Oh sorry, I thought you meant for the time being. Maybe the current students can chime in, but I'm pretty sure we'll be using it as well for doing all that you mentioned.

Yes, you will use CaneLink to do everything once you are a student here.

I interviewed 1st week of Feb and just noticed that I also got the status change. Did you guys get an email? I happened to check and notice that it changed. Would they send this message if we were waitlisted/kept on the alternate list? Cuz being on the alt list is a "final decision" for all of 2 weeks until they meet again...

Trying not to get my hopes up too much! 😀

Well tomorrow is one of the days acceptances go out so if we don't get a call tomorrow night that means we're on the alternate list! Good luck!

No email about a status change, just noticed it changed on the portal.

It just means that you will get your decision tomorrow. It can either be a waitlist or acceptance, you'll have to wait till tomorrow to know which.
 
Anyone know if there is somewhere I can find a lot of photos of the class, classrooms, being taught? Those kinds of things. I want to see what it feels to be there as I am considering my options to schools.

Same. I read your message before I got that email, so I knew what the notification on my phone would be, but that didn't stop my heart rate from going up a bit. Those alternate list blues. 😛
 
Does Miller reject at interviews? Or is it either accepted/alternate list? Forgive me if I'm wrong but it seems I've only seem those two, no rejections post interview

Yes, but very rarely from what I've seen in previous cycles.

Alternate list is not like a typical waitlist. This thing moves with every acceptance date.

Like I said before, a lot of you will just have to be patient and wait it out. I know it sucks to play the waiting game, but it's a good skill to learn now. I got waitlisted at around this time last year and didn't get in until 3 months later. And now I'm kicking ass in med school while also having fun with my friends in my class. It'll be okay, y'all.
 
Today was supposed to be an acceptance release date. Did anyone get an acceptance?

Same here. It's weird that no one here said they were accepted yet... Maybe there's hope and they're late, though I'm grasping at straws here

I actually didn't get my alternate list email until the day after the last decision date, and a few people said they got accepted the day after a decision date, too. But, I'm not going to hold my breath. If I get in, it'll probably be around April or something.
 
Alternate list here as well today. Lol that picture email made me jump too
 
I'm on the west coast. received background check request from certiphi at 6 am, got the interview pic at 10am, student rep asking me to join a facebook group at 130pm. I was trying to calm myself down all day. I was in the basement of my research lab and got a call from my interviewer at 2:20pm. and the call dropped midway!!! Called back and he told me. I probably missed the official deans call but received an official email in the afternoon
 
Anyone that didn't get a call or waitlist email yesterday? I was scheduled to have a decision yesterday, but so far nothing . I keep refreshing my e-mail like every 5 minutes.
 
Miami interviews until March... there's hope. albeit dwindling fast.

put soooooooooo much effort into that secondary. Hoping it at least receives thorough review.
