No, they definitely send it to you (at least they did for me) if you are not accepted. -One of the not accepted people in your interview picture.

So stats are borderline, is that why I havent been scored yet? being rejected by most schools, i hate that miami is making me wait because OMG, I would go crazy if i got an invite here. Can any current students shed light on what may be happening with my app. I submitted in July so it is surprsing that it takes this long. I have sent a few letters of rec which I am hoping may spark something. Shouldn't I have been scored by now or rejected or even put on hold? thanks

yeah thats about where I am, so they do silent rejections? I guess that makes sense. I just wrote alot in my secondary so I am thinking perhaps ther is something they saw that they liked which idk, prolly not serious. so they might not review me?

Miami has 8,800 application.
They send secondaries to 4000.
They send Interview Invites to about 600.
They accept around 350.
Around 175 matriculate.

These are pretty accurate but im going off memory of what they told us during the interviews.

From what I know that's roughly correct. I remember at my interview day they said that they planned for a bit of leeway this year if they want to somewhat increase the MD/MPH, but still keeping to total about 200.

you need to friend the admins and then they will add you to the facebook group. re-read the email to find their names. I was added probably 15 minutes after I friended them.

No idea, but I do know my app STILL HASNT BEEN SCORED. And don't plan on it ever being scored. By far spent the longest amount of time of this secondary and they can't even take the time to send me an email telling me I'm not good enough. SMFH

I got a very unexpected II from Miami yesterday! I was complete wayyy back in July and hadn't heard a thing since. They are interviewing every Monday and Friday into March - I want to say the last available date was 3/18 or 3/21 I'm not sure which. There were about 6 interview dates left when I scheduled. Don't give up hope yet!

I'm sorry but I have no idea - after 5+ months of my application just being "under review," I gave up on checking the portal, to be honest!

In general you should submit your FAFSA as early as possible. If I remember correctly you can just put the codes for all the schools you've been accepted to. There are also need-based applications on the UMMSM financial aid website. As stated above, if you have completed your FAFSA you should expect your financial aid package sometime in mid March.

I'm not involved in admissions, so I don't know anything about specific timelines, but I DO know that they notify merit scholarship recipients as soon as a decision has been made. That only depends on when the scholarship committee meets. So if your friend already received a merit scholarship it means that the committee has already met at least once. Merit scholarships have nothing to do with cost of attendance (since all of Miami's grants are tuition restricted), so they don't need to have that finalized.

There will also be further acceptances in May once people withdraw their acceptances on April 30. As you can see from last year's thread, there was some pretty substantial movement from this. So sure, there are only 2 more official acceptance dates for people being accepter straight after their interviews, but a large number of people on the alternate list will likely get an offer after the April date.
