About how long does CASPer take? Mine is at three and I want to watch the olympics gymnastics live stream as soon as it's done lol
 
Finally finished! Took me an hour 15, and I did not take the break in the middle. I did accidentally press the back button halfway through though! 🙄
 
It was in fact not the most fun, but it's somewhat similar to an MMI so I get why they do it.
 
I'm probably the only loser who is writing secondaries on a Saturday night, buttttt isn't it funny how some schools really try and bait their applicants? Lol. I think they're trying to weed out the super arrogant/annoying kids with the "is the role of physician more important than others in the community" question. And etc. Would anyone actually say, "yes"?

I haven't posted since joining but saw this and couldn't help it. Currently writing secondaries as well so don't feel too bad. Good luck!

You'd be surprised... I've heard some argue the "yes" in the vein of how by maintaining everyone's health they are in fact the most important... There are still many applicants going for an MD because they have a "god" complex, and those are usually arrogant enough to say yes.

And are thus weeded... Lol

Complete 7/26 and took Casper 8/11. Still not under review. They must be really backed up with apps!

I guess Casper isn't a requirement to be complete. I spoke with an admissions counselor and she said that it was just for profiling accepted students and really has no bearing on whether or not you get an interview.

Really? I called and they said that they weren't sure what it was going to be used for just yet. She suggested that it was going to be used for extending interviews, extending acceptances, or just profiling. Didn't seem like there was a clear answer.

i'm guessing we will be guinea pigs in this cycle(not necessarily a bad thing!)-- but it'll be clearer how they will utilize these CASPer scores for future cycles
 
Yeah she told me they're not 100% sure what they're doing with it either but I doubt they're gonna figure it out within the next week before interviews go out ya know?

She told me it wouldn't even be looked at until after your interview.

When were you complete? I was complete around July 20 and took CASPer in early June, but I haven't even started review yet.

I was complete July 30. Are you IS? I'm OOS. It's probably because I'm OOS they put me on hold quickly. :/

OOS also. Submitted 7/26 and took Casper 8/11 still not under review. I feel like IS is getting reviewed first.

Checked my portal today and it went from application under review to application review complete and this is the status message"Your supplemental application review is complete but an interview decision is pending. While we make every effort to provide application decisions in a timely manner, it is possible that an applicant could remain without an interview decision until February."
I'm guessing it's a hold 🙁

I am sorry to hear! I think CMed is a very mission based school and is looking for a specific applicant, seem like you have great stats from all those II's! 🙂
