Congrats on the acceptance! Does anyone know if they call in the order in which you were interviewed? I also interviewed with MJF and haven't received a call yet. Can I ask when you were interviewed?
 
SDN Report ~1:00 pm EST:

Acceptances: 7 (based on past years ~10-15 acceptances are usually reported on SDN, with calls expected into evening and potentially next day)
10:21 am EST - call from Dr. MJF (interviewer), interviewed mid-October
10:30 am EST - call from Dr. FL (interviewer)
11:55 am EST - call from Dr. GL, interviewed mid-November
12:24 pm EST - call from Dr. PP (interviewer)
12:46 pm EST - call from RJK
12:52 pm EST - call from Dr. CON
1:48 pm EST - interviewer not on unknown list as of 1:48 pm EST, interviewed late September

Unknowns (time SDN user asked if they had called):
Dr. DQ (10:40 am EST, 10:55 am EST) - no reported calls in last 5 years

note - some interviewers have not been reported to have called in previous years on SDN - unclear if this is because they do not make calls or if they do make calls and those calls went unreported

I remember when I got accepted, phone calls had being going out for hours and hours. I felt really demoralized before getting my call around 7pm. Some people didn't hear until the next day. Some stragglers got their notice days later.

So my point is, don't let the stress of these acceptances prevent you from doing other things with your day. Keep your phone on you and go do something else with your life for a bit. Qué será será.

I didn't get my call until the morning after the stork. There will be a lot of calls going out throughout the day. I know it's hard but hang in there everyone and congratulations!

Please PM me if you have questions (unless it's a question like when will Dr. XYZ call in which case I have no idea).

Did you mean to say "this dork" instead of "the stork?"

Funny thing is that there is literally a professor at Columbia nicknamed Dr. XYZ.
 
Got a rejection, pre-II. Not surprising but just wanted to let ppl know

Didn't realize people were still hung up on that. I think they've already determined people that got rejected or WLd got the same "we will keep you strongly in mind" in previous years.

I would say the chances aren't great (although honestly they never were given the ~20% initial acceptance rate), but I could definitely see a physician making a call then getting pulled away before they can make another call and having to wait until later

I mean I wouldn't say give up, never know what's going to happen! Though, I've been waitlisted so many times already its nuts. Maybe I'll eat my words soon? Goodness I hope so!

There has been at least 1 SDN user to report being accepted via the portal without receiving a call in the last two years. I would assume if Dr. Q doesn't call his interviewees that are accepted they will just get a portal update tomorrow and no call beforehand. This is all speculation though.
