Question to those who will be interviewing/have interviewed: I have my interview this week, and on the portal it says there's a pre-interview happy hour the evening before. However, I have yet to receive any information about where this happy hour might be. Has anyone else?

I interviewed here last week, and I got an interview a few days to a week before the happy hour. In case you don't get the email, we met by the piano in the perelman center lobby, then walked to a bar on Spruce st. called New Deck Tavern. Not sure if this will be the same for you. Good luck with the interview! They are all super chill here

Does anyone that has interviewed or will be interviewing know if the diversity breakfast starts at 9:30 with registration or if it starts before then? Thank you.

It starts at 8:15 before the rest of the day

Does anyone have any numbers on how many Penn interviews vs. how many they accept?

What time did the interview day end for you?
 
Latest ending is 4:30, but it varies depending on your interview time/ if you want to go to coffee hour.

Does anyone know if the school has student hosts?
 
Penn is one of my favorite medical schools. I was complete early July and haven't heard anything. Still have a chance for an II here, or is it more likely have I been passed over at this point?

As Aaron Rodgers says, R.E.L.A.X. At most schools, apps are not processed in the order that they were received. Stats have a lot to do with when an app is reviewed, but they obviously do not dictate if an II is given. Also, penn is not rolling, so it doesnt really matter when you interview in the process. We've all got a lot of time until March.

Just wear your normal interview garb. Most people were in suits, some were in something more casual, everyone looked fine

I submitted around 9/15, and the portal says my application is complete. I never received an email though. Normal?
 
II today!!! Complete mid aug, LM~80, this is one of my top choices, very excited
 
I'm so excited for my interview here which is in few days. For those who have already interviewed, can you share your overall impression of the school, faculty, medical students & any other advice?

Congrats on the interview II and good luck! All of the medical students I met seemed friendly and chill - not uber competitive/gunner. This might just be selection bias (the happier, less stressed students either sign up more for interviews or the admissions office only chooses these type of students). Both my student and faculty interviewers seemed more interested in talking about hobbies/background than about medicine. They didn't ask any ethics questions, or other "hard" questions.

They emphasized that medical education is not one size fits all, and they want to help you personalize your med education through their "one university concept," certificate programs, and flexibility in how you learn (half PBL and lectures are recorded and not mandatory).

I interviewed recently, insta top choice. I'm so excited about the school after physically going there and meeting people. No decisions released until March: it's going to be a loooong 5 months 🙁 :nailbiting:

I have a pile in my room of pens, information packets/folders, etc I've gotten from schools. I keep looking at the hat Penn gives you and thinking it's going to be a bitter reminder of what could have been when I get the rejection in March 😛😢
