UG:3.3, SMP:4.0, MCAT: 516 (3x retaker)

I'm really surprised that I was rejected pre-secondary. I was expecting at least a secondary rejection lol.

Wait a sec. I just realized that your status was pre-secondary. I have a very similar status wording, but after I received and submitted the secondary.

Shenia tyler. I called her and she said it takes 6-7 business days, so i'm not sure what's up

Mine didn't change either, but I take the disappearing tab as a sign that she's accepted the email and it's in the process. I'm sure it will change soon.

Anyone else get this message? I received it 7/15, 4 days before my MCAT scores came out (should've waited to submit primary lol). I wanna give them a call since I got a pretty good score and see what's up but they did say "4-6 weeks"...

Thank you for your interest in the School of Medicine at VCU. We have received your AMCAS application, but will be holding it for further action, pending receipt of your most recent MCAT scores. MCAT's taken after September of this application year will not be considered.

If your application status is not updated within a reasonable time after MCAT scores are delivered (they usually arrive here 4-6 weeks after the test date), please contact our office at 804-828-9629. If you decide not to take/retake the MCAT please notify us.

Looks like they said they get the scores 4-6 weeks post test date. So, uh, same timeframe as you get it. Not sure what you're asking but maybe you thought it said 4-6 weeks post test score release? Otherwise, your app is likely now in line for a secondary app
 
Wow I totally missed "test date". Derp. Guess I will give them a call then. Thanks for pointing that out.

Both @brownman23 and I have the following status but have yet to receive an official II via e-mail: The Committee's file review indicates that they are very interested in your candidacy. We are trying to interview all candidates at your priority score interviewed as soon as possible if we have an adequate number of interview slots. Please anticipate an e-mail from us regarding a possible interview date. We are patiently waiting :xf:

Did you get an email notifying you of the status change though? Mine still says under review and I'm trying to figure out if I should incessantly, obsessively check the portal or not
 
I did not. I only have one email from VCU informing me of a "status change" to my application, but I was really confused because I hadn't even received an email about a secondary invitation at that point... logged into portal and saw the secondary invite haha. I only saw the status change when I decided to check the portal one day. I would just check the VCU portal regularly!

They get 9,000+ applications and it's still early in the cycle. I'm on the same status and I've been complete since the 15th as well.

Last year they started sending II out around August 18th to people with that status

I'm still shocked i got a secondary with a 28 MCAT when less than 1/3 of applicants get a secondary from here lol. Yay for holistic screening #noob #getyourMCATup #itried #betterluckonusmle

Wow I had no idea that so few applicants got secondaries. Are you sure? If so, then that's awesome!

I was called and my status still says that I've completed everything. Nothing about being reviewed or anything.

Haha nice, I just logged onto my portal to double check that my e-mail address and phone numbers were correct 😛
 
AMCAS submitted 7/1
AMCAS verified 7/28

Just called admissions to check my status and apparently there is no record of my application there this cycle despite verification of AMCAS almost two weeks ago. Was advised to contact them again in a week.

Anyone else having this problem?
 
Does your supplemental application disappear after you've submitted? I submitted this morning and I log on to the portal but it doesn't say anything new.
 
Have been complete since 7/20... 🤔
I am really hoping for some love from my state school.
 
How many rec letters did you all send? Just three or more?
