I'm sorry to hear that. Can you clarify what you mean by pre-secondary? CWRU doesn't screen for secondaries, so everyone is invited to complete one. Do you mean that you didn't have time to complete it yet?
Meant pre-interview. Clarified!

Complete mid-July and nothing yet. I'm on pre-II hold for the College Track though ... is there any chance they are waiting to make a decision until I hear back from College Track?

hi! not sure if this has been asked already but I found this on the website "
  • August - December 1: Admissions receives and reviews completed applications. Qualified applicants are electronically invited to schedule an interview at CWRU."
does this mean after december 1st they will no longer send out II???

Interviewed two weeks ago and dying to hear back... what has post interview response time been so far for most folks? I know they mentioned 2-4 weeks at the interview...

Im pretty sure that just means it will no longer accept secondary applications.

I interviewed over a month ago and have yet to hear.....
I think they meet at the beginning of each month. Thus, if you interview near the end of the month, but too close to the next meeting, you get pushed to the next, resulting in a wait time of over a month. I'm in the same boat as well.

Trying to schedule flights out of CLE after interview...I know that interview day ends around 4:00 PM and they recommend not scheduling any flights before 6:00 PM. Can anyone who interviewed comment on how long it took to get to the airport after the interview day concluded? How was traffic to airport and TSA security line? Did anyone catch flights that evening, or wait until the next morning? There is a flight that leaves CLE at 6:45 PM...think I'll make it?

645 should be good. Some people got out at 3 and even if you get out at 4, Cleveland rush hour doesn’t peak til closer to 5

Edit: Sorry, was not thinking of public transit aspect

So they're doing construction on the rail line, so from the train you need to get on a bus and then back on the train. That slowed things down quite a bit.

I took an uber to the airport bc I didn't wanna mess with that. It wasn't too expensive, and it took about half an hour, but I went later.

Security took under 5 min, lol.

I took the train to the airport and got there in about 45min and there's a stop that's pretty close to the school (Cedar-University). There was construction on the rail as the above post mentioned, but it was fine; the bus that they have used to replace a segment of the train runs every four minutes...I left the train and the bus was waiting / it's a pretty short drive (maybe about 10 minutes) and it drops you off at the same train after which it takes about 10-15 minutes to get to the airport. The good thing is that it's super cheap: $2.50 for the entire ride. I took an uber on my way to the hotel from the airport and it was about $27 and that takes about 20-25 minutes. You'll probably be fine for 6:45.

Personally, I was at the gate by 6. But I was done interviews before 3 pm. Definitely was heavy traffic on way to airport after 4 pm, trip took about 45 minutes or so by car. Rental car return takes time as well, if that applies to anyone, it's a few minutes away from the terminal by shuttle bus. TSA line took about 20 minutes, but can obviously be quite variable. Can be 10 minute walk to gate as well.
All said and done, I would think in your case that you can easily make a 6:45 flight if you're careful to leave right away and don't waste time.

Any recommendations of inexpensive places to stay near the medical school? Preferably within walking distance or public transport to the medical school. Anyone done Airbnb?

The student hosts are about as cheap as it gets. They’re super accommodating also. I would recommend trying that first.

I requested a student host, but just received an email that the students were unavailable/busy

Ah shoot! I Airbnb’d in Cleveland once also and it was pretty cheap 80$ a night but I was in someone’s home and they were all there. Good luck to you! I think airbnbs are the best option tho cause hotels are expensive af

I think I paid $90/night for a hotel- Tudor Arms. It's about a 15minute walk from the admissions office, and it overlooks the cleveland clinic.

Does anyone know if updates are accepted?
(Tried to use the search function for an answer but didn't find one; sorry if it's been asked before!)

From the FAQ:

Updates are only accepted from applicants in the categories listed below. If you application is placed into one of these categories the ability to upload updates to your application will become available on the Status Page.
  • Invited for an Interview
  • On Hold for a Future Interview
  • On Hold after Interview
  • Alternate List
Clearly didn't read closely enough. Thank you!

+1. I’m confused though because Case sends rejections so why wouldn’t they just reject us if we weren’t still being considered??
So maybe you aren't rejected..... No one will know though, so just try to relax and wait. I know it's hard, I'm doing it too for most of my schools. Good luck!
