If you don’t mind me asking, what was your MCAT score? Trying to figure out why my app hasn’t been reviewed yet/why I have no decision (hold or anything)? Been complete since July 9th.

508 - lol you guys are too much. If you haven't heard anything you're not out of the running just yet. I'm just glad they actually sent me a rejection letter instead of a silent rejection.

I interviewed here recently! First you meet in a conference room with the other applicants. Then you get a folder with info and your personal schedule. The day consists of info, a one on one faculty interview, a short essay, break time, and lunch/tour with a student interviewer.

So I wonder why they put people on hold at this point in the cycle instead of just rejecting them (as people have been already), when it's known that those on hold don't receive IIs usually. I wish I understood all of this.

Probably so that they can be absolutely certain that they have a pool of people to chose from in case an abnormal amount of people withdraw from their IIs or acceptances

If he’s actually looking for an answer to that question then SDN isn’t the place for that either. The only people who are able to answer that are adcoms and they sure aren’t going to out themselves or give a direct answer to that on here. Nahh he wasn’t looking for an answer, he’s looking for some tid bit of info to help soothe his neuroticism, in lieu of that I suggested a chill pill. Different method of treatment, same outcome. #AlternativeMedicineFTW

P.S. I also watched him post the same neurotic type question in 6 other school threads in the span of 3 minutes.

Regarding your P.S, A classic case of pot calling the kettle black. Fascinating that you call someone else neurotic when you know how many threads (and how frequently) someone types a message in one of these forums. If we all didn't have a little bit of neuroticism in ourselves, I doubt we would be on SDN. I suggest that we stop picking on people whilst hiding under the covers of anonymity. And I say this to (and about) myself as well.

Got the hold email recently. I consider it good but probably inconsequential news. I’m on pre-II hold at 5 other MDs and post-II hold at 2 others, so I’m tossing this one into my pile of Probably Nots and eyeing DO with a small, nervous smile on my face.

Edit: LizzyM~67, OOS, no ties except one of my evaluators got his PhD at Drexel (guessing that’s a pretty loose tie, like after a wedding with an open bar).

Hey guys. I am trying to withdraw my acceptance (and hopefully open up a spot for someone on here!). I did the "withdraw applcation" under the status tab, but I don't think that changed my actual admissions acceptance... Does anyone know how I go about withdrawing my acceptance/getting back my deposit? Is it on a portal or should i just email? Thanks!
