This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Interviewed at bradenton last tuesday (3/20)...portal says It was a pleasure interviewing you at LECOM Bradenton. The Admissions Committee will make a final decision on your application within 30 days and notify you of the decision. I was told that letters would be sen out monday (3/26). is there anyone who has had this portal status?
I interviewed 5/15 and my status is the same
So can you tell me if you got accepted after that or not and how long did they take to give you a decision

Has anyone heard if they expect to move through all of the ranked waitlist?

I called Ms. Ballinger last week about my status and she said “we always get through the ranked waitlist”. I wonder how many more people are on the ranked list.

The insurance they want us to buy sucks a**. I use my own private insurance, I don't want to switch to their insurance.

Their insurance somehow is more expensive than my insurance, their insurance has a higher deductible, and the copayments to visit a specialist are ridiculous for their insurance!!!!!!

Also their out of pocket maximum is ridiculous. I don't want to switch over. How do I tell them that I don't want their crappy insurance that costs more than my current one? The only way it'll let you opt out is if you're a dependent... ugh.

Yeah I asked about that during the interview and I was assuming they had great insurance because of it. I would be pissed if I had private insurance but had to also buy their insurance for no reason. Do they even offer a ppo?

Hey everyone! I’m looking for a third female roommate for Yacht Club in Heritage Harbour. Rent will be <$500. Please PM me if you’re interested!!

(Yes I know there are roommate forums and an FB page but maybe newly accepted folk will look on here too!)

Anyone know if there has been any alternate list movement yet?

I feel the same. I called Ms. Kerris to inquire about whether there was any exception and her tone was so demeaning and rude. My own personal plan has a $0 deductible and low copays so it’s leaps and bounds better than the plan that they offer. Oh well! 🙁

Anyone else have a number appear next to their name when you click View Admission Status? I just noticed it a few days ago

I just checked my admission status and there is no number next to my name.
Are you on the waitlist or Alt-list?

If I were you , I would call Susan Ballinger and ask about this number.
I am also on the Alternate list and I don't have it.
It could be your ranked spot if someone withdraws or it could be nothing.

I called yesterday and was told only a handful are under consideration, myself being one of them. However, even then I was told that chances are slim because there has been little to no movement (1-2 people/week the last 3 weeks have withdrawn). They did mention in-state residents would be prioritized in the coming weeks if any spots open up.

Did you speak to Ms. Ballinger? Also are you in-state and on the alt-list or WL?

Thanks for the update.
I hope that you get in , even though the chances are slim.

I spoke to her and Mr. Shively, and I'm in-state and on the alt-list. But I don't think they're distinguishing btwn the two lists anymore, since they finished the ranked list

Thanks for the info! Sent you a PM!

To those of you that interviewed, did any of you submit a letter of rec from your advisor versus a committee? Was this accepted?
