This is really random, but don't skimp on the taco bar during lunch (or at least they had one when I was there). I think everyone was so caught up with the day (and rightfully so) that we all ate very minimally but I'm currently sitting at my desk really hungry and craving tacos. They even had a larger platter of guac.. UGH.

I never skimp on food, but that's just me. xD

Pretty sure I had three tacos, one of those ridiculously large fresh chocolate chip cookies, and a whole plate of the cinnamon chip things afterwards. That food was freaking delicious.

This was also my thought and same LizzyM with pretty damn good extra curriculars.

My hat goes off to you.

I tip my hat as well. My own LizzyM is 73 with very good EC, and I didn't even get a sniff from the only top 5 school I applied to.

I wish. Someone said earlier on in the thread that they were told end of January
They had sent out an email saying that decisions would come out at the end of January at the latest. However, someone else posted that at last weeks interview they said the first post-interview decisions would be send out this week, so who know

I called and was told via phone a few days ago that decisions would probably come out this week or early next week!

Just got an II, debating withdrawing. Complete the week the secondary opened.

Just got an II. I was complete end of December.

Accepted!!!:soexcited:

Interviewed December 1st (1st group) and no response yet. Anyone else in this situation? Cant be a good sign...

I'd imagine that all the first acceptances are gonna go to those with higher MCATs as they'll want their first class to have as high an average MCAT as possible. A little worried about my MCAT for this school because even though I got an interview my MCAT is lower than they probably would like they're average to be

Congrats to all of you accepted!!!!!!!!! Such a great feeling especially if it’s your first! If you don’t mind me asking did they mention anything about full scholarships in the acceptance letter

did only people from the first interview day get acceptances?

That's an interesting hypothesis. I guess you could inquire of the accepted applicants to see if they all have high MCAT. Still, I noticed at my interview they had a wide range of stats. They talked a lot about being holistic as well. I'd bet they had some kind of composite score that built in mcat, mmi, and either cgpa or sgpa. Then they took the top few aggregate scorers...but again, it's just a guess

Super bummed right now. I was really hoping for some sort of decision today...

Anyone know when the next time the adcom meets is? Are they meeting monthly?

They meet once a week every Thursday, and it seems that they’ve been meeting lately on Tuesdays as well
Well, good. Maybe those of us without a decision today won't be in limbo too long. 🙂

Just out of curiosity, how many interview days have they held so far?

My exact same fear. I felt really confident about the MMI but I feel like they might be shooting for a 511 - 513 average for the first class and I'm not quite there. With only 50 seats I don't know if enough people will end up giving up seats to let me slide in.

I find it very disrespectful and messed up that they would only take the time to email acceptances. The rest of us deserve an update too.

They’re doing the best they can. I know the struggle is real, I’ve felt it for 3 cycles, but I assure you that everyone is doing the best that they can.

Maybe they are keeping the rest of you guys in consideration. I’d prefer that rather than a rejection email on the same day as some people got acceptances.

515 with silence here. Just saying. They're either looking for super high MCAT scores (high 510s, low 520s?) or they are indeed being super holistic and just taking the people with the best combination of experiences first.

+1. I think especially if they only gave a few seats

+1. I really feel like they probably did a very small number of acceptances this go around. So, every meeting they have they will probably go through all interviewed applicants for a predetermined number of seats, that's the rolling way. Good luck all!

Good point. Were you in the first interview groups? I do know (at least what they told me) is that they'd be responding to people chronologically based on when you interviewed. That is to say, if you interviewed first, you'll get a response first. So even with that bangin' score, maybe they haven't gotten to you because there are interview groups ahead of you?

Just a thought.

I hope they're "holistic" though. I'm research heavy and with them wanting to be a research oriented school I feel like that can only help me.

I interviewed 12/15, so I was in the third group of interviewees.

I actually don't have any research, so I was very nervous about this being a research focused school. Still wondering if that's going to bite me in the butt here. I'm perfectly okay with doing research if it means I get to live in Ft. Lauderdale/Davie... really hoping I managed to get that enthusiasm across.
