This is good evidence that the status indeed corresponds to admit or admit/waitlist status.
This is a pretty ****ty thing to say. You might be right, it’s just there’s no need to dump on someone else. Especially so close to decision time. It would be kinder to speculate quietly, and to yourself

Everyone who got the financial aid statement should post their interview date. It might just be the people who interviewed early. My date was in August and I got the change.

Early September

hot damn I need to unfollow this thread. My hopes are getting way too high just to get crushed. Aside note, if we're debating between Mayo and Pitt, how do we feel about Mayo vs PSTP @ Pitt if we're interested in academic medicine?
Personally I didn’t like the PSTP for two reasons. One, it doesn’t fully cover tuition, and two, the research year is after your second year rather than third. I think CCLCM has a much better model in comparison.

I agree with the placement of the research year. If I ended up doing it, I'd probably ask if I could restructure it to post-year-3.

Y'all out here reporting financial aid updates, my status still somehow says "secondary not yet submitted" even tho I interviewed in November
Actually, my portal says this too, but also has "Your financial aid packet will be sent to you by email shortly" under "Application under review" (not exact words, recalling from memory).

This thread is great. But question... I didn’t apply to PSTP. Ever since peeps have been noticing the financial aid stuff, I noticed that the link to apply to the PSTP disappeared. Anyone else have this???

Sorry if you felt like I'm dumping on people without the status (I do not have the status myself). I only meant to highlight a novel and seemingly important data point as our little drama unfolds.

Uh oh, here we go again LOL Hmmm, on the Application Status page, I still have "Click here to learn more about the PSTP and begin an application" at the bottom. Idk what it all means anymore...

For what it's worth, they said at the interview that PSTP application was considered for accepted AND waitlisted students ...

I’m sorry, too. I overreacted out of frustration about all this wild speculation and how people seem to be taking it so seriously. I really like the way you characterized this as “our little drama”. I had a good laugh at that. Again, I’m sorry. That reaction was undeserved.

At the risk of sounding foolish in a few days, I’m going to say that financial aid updates mean acceptances as opposed to acceptance or waitlist. It just doesn’t make sense to send a packet that takes human effort to waitlisted students.

Welp.. so these last few days of waiting will be extra fun for me 🙁

Pitt is a FANTASTIC school, even if we just end up on the waitlist it's quite an accomplishment. We are all perfectionists so it's hard to give yourself credit for your accomplishments...just getting to this stage we all should be proud of ourselves. I hope to see every one here in the fall!

This is true 🙂

Just a heads up but the area code for a Pittsburgh phone number is 412 ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Do they call for those that get accepted? I thought it was just email and snail mail.

I thought they told us they didn’t email ... just snail mail plus whatever official update to the portal.

I don't have my notes in front of me regarding this.. but I could have sworn they said email + snail mail. But I could have heard wrong.

They email, the email doesn' let you know the status just to check the portal.

Ahh gotcha. I just remember them saying something at my interview day about how someone once sent fake acceptance emails claiming to be from a highly ranked school ... and as a result Pitt wouldn’t email acceptances.

I was just reading last year’s page where everyone posted their acceptances and the relief that swept through that thread was incredible.

We are so close guys and so many of you WILL have good news and we can finally put this neuroticism to bed.

On that note, has anyone called admissions today?

Fake spongebob wrote he had his decision in the portal giving everyone a minor anxiety attack
