You'll probably get an email if you are waitlisted, I interviewed 9/14 and got the waitlist email on monday! (fingers crossed I move off of the waitlist!!)

Has anyone heard anything recently? I interviewed on September 9th and haven't gotten a response still.

Anyone know what the post interview acceptance rates are here?

Hey everyone! How did you guys answer the second question about personal background? The one basically asking if you're diverse. Based off of the list of things to discuss, I have nothing to mention.

Anyone attending the Academic Enrichment Center Webinar?

Just scheduled my interview, and the earliest dates open were february 8, 9, and 16 😱

so if we don't get an II this month, it's probably over for us?
No I definitely wouldn't say that. I believe, and this is just what I think, I'm not certain, that some schools reserve certain dates for IS and OOS students. I think OOS students (which I am) receive later date options and IS students receive earlier date options. Not sure that's the case with UT, but I know that's been the case with some of my other schools. I don't think it at all means that if you don't get an II you won't receive a date. It's much too early in the process for that.

I have actually had the impression the other way. OOS and the best scored candidates get interviewed first because those are the most competitive seats. A limited number of these students get offered and the best IS students are interviewed with this mix as well and then late in the game is essentially all IS interviews with few OOS. Especially for a state school. I was told by our counselor this was the case but who knows for sure!

Yeah idk how it goes for sure, I just know that’s what I was told for one of my State schools, I doubt that’s the case everywhere. I agree with higher stats people being given preference though, I feel like that’s a given

II from here a few days ago...all the way out in Feb! Does anyone know when interviews start here for just the waitlist?

Oh yikes.... I didn’t know schools even interviewed for just the waitlist....

I am from the area and this is what I have heard from students who have interviewed there previously! But hopefully that's now how it is this year!

10/13 interview, has anyone heard back yet? And if you have, when did you hear back and when was your interview date.

I interviewed the following week and have not heard back yet. We were told we would hear the first week of November. I guess that could have been interpreted as last week or this week, but it’s frustrating to hear that you interviewed earlier and haven’t heard yet either.

Do you know if Toledo or any other medical schools will accept updated MCAT scores? Like if I retake the MCAT in January, will they look at my score?

I believe Howard does. I'm not sure about other schools accepting a new score but some do take it into consideration as an update.

You know I called some time back and asked them about this. I was told they interview all the way up until April and they don’t look at the waiting list until after all interviews have taken place. She said anyone interviewing up until April has a fair chance at acceptance. I actually think if you look at their website somewhere they actually state that applying early or late doesn’t really affect your acceptance chance.

I've never heard of "interviewing for the waitlist", but I can say that interviews are late in Toledo this year. When I signed up for an interview back in early august, the earliest date available was in January. Toledo just has a late interview cycle this year, it seems.

I remember you saying all they had available was in January, but in a previous post you mentioned you interviewed in October, how were you able to schedule an earlier interview date?

Any idea when we will hear back for a decision for late October interviews?
