Dude, still radio silence. Since 8/2

They said that they keep your file in review for up to 90 days in their email. When I called last week since the cutoff date was super close, she told me that if I didn't hear back by this week that I should call again. Since you were the day before me, you should hear back this week as well but if not call them.

Are there any current students on here who could talk about what a typical week looks like schedule wise? I know lectures aren't mandatory but how many mandatory classes do you have? How spread out through the week are they? Thanks!

It changes based on the classes. Usually first year we had maybe 1 a day, but that included anatomy lab and OMM lab. The vast majority of lectures (I'm gonna say like 90%) aren't mandatory. The only classes that are are OMM lecture and lab, which is usually one of each a week. Then anatomy lab (not lecture), and a few assorted labs like clinical medicine, etc. I live right by school and I still am barely ever on campus. You have a lot of flexibility its nice.

Overall, daily schedule kinda looks like this:

there's usually 4 lectures between 8-noon. Most of the time none of these are mandatory. Then there's an hour lunch break, then usually anatomy lab in the afternoon once or twice a week, OMM lab once a week, and then your miscellaneous labs fit in there too. The exact days kind of switch around but anatomy is most of the time Tuesday or Thursday with the occasional other day. Hit me with any other questions.

How many hours doing omm? Is this school big on omm?

I heard there is a dress code, is this true?

Def no dress code. They preached OMT though.

1.5hrs OMM lab + 1hr OMM lecture per week is pretty typical for years 1 & 2. Must wear OMM “uniform” to lab. No dress code for anything else except SPAL.

I will say that I was not a fan of OMM during the preclinical years but am now using it pretty regularly on clinical rotations. It’s nice to be able to offer some relief for patients with MSK complaints.

Anyone take the Casper for DMU and get an interivew? I'm wondering if it is worth it and looking for some advice.

They don't do interview decisions based on Casper. They only look at it post interview. That's what the admissions team has told me.

Isn't casper optional though? So why would it affect decisions?

Edit: if true, I regret taking casper for DMU.

Thanks good to know. I switched my date but I will wait to see if I get an interview first before I do it

It is optional, but if you have it, that's when it will matter. (After interview not before invite)

100% do NOT send them your CASPer. There is literally no reason at all to send them it. I took it and sent it to the MD schools that required it, but why would I sent the results of a test that I don't know how I did to a school that I want to attend?

Interviewed 8/29(?) and was accepted a week and 6 days later, without them receiving CASPer.

Pls don't send it, hopefully they just stop saying it's recommended

Was hoping to hear something for the 10/15 interviews... They did mention 3 weeks, possibly 4 weeks.

Radio silence since I was complete on 8/8. Coming up on the 90 day window they mentioned in that email... definitely very anxious

Nope, they said 3 to 4 weeks to hear back, and this week is #4 so we should hear back sometime this week.
Same at the 10/15, you could kind of tell that they knew they wouldn't make the 3-week mark. I'm patient but that final week always kills me!

How many weeks did it take for you to hear back since applying to see if you got an interview? 1-2 months?

You applied super late so you could get invites now or in January. I’m sure you will be fine though.

Interviewed 10/15. My portal just changed to say submit supplemental items 10/11 "outstanding requirements confirmation". Looks like some good news is coming!

does this mean 10/18 interviews will be hearing back in the next few days?

Don’t bank on them getting back to you. Interviewed 9/27 and haven’t heard back at all. Emailed them and they said it would be completed very soon but that was last week so I’m beat. No idea what that means....
