I put my money down 10/25 and mailed in the required signed paper, I still haven’t received an acceptance packet. Has anyone gotten one?

No, but I emailed them to make sure they got the mailed letter and deposit and they said yes, and my spot was secure. No mention of an acceptance packet though.

Can anyone who interviewed at UB and was accepted give any feedback on their interview day experiences. I understand that there are two one-on-one interviews and possibly a third one. Is the interview open or closed file? any negative feedback? things to look out for? Are there any ethical questions or problem solving questions?

Thank you in advance for any feedback.

Yes there are two open file interviews and possibly a third. My interviewers had taken notes on my entire amcas application and on my little essay we had to write as well. Mine were very conversational and I only had like a total of four questions asked between the two interviews. They are super nice and try to make you feel comfortable. I also had one ethical question which wasn’t too bad. I thought it was a phenomenal day and they left a much better impact than some of the other schools I have interviewed at. Good luck you’ll do great!

I was accepted here too and second what this person says. I had maybe 4 ethical questions, but everything was VERY laid back.

Can any current students speak to why you chose UB? I've had lots of trouble finding student testimonials about the school.

If you browse their website you’ll see plenty of reasons why UB.

(UB is really diverse, their curriculum is great and they have a great support system.)

Try this link and scroll to the bottom and view the testimonies

Hope this help 😉

anyone get an interview recently? Seems like the last person to post one was on September 4

my app is complete but the status says Secondary Received. Does this mean they haven't reviewed my app- would there be a status that says under review?

It's my understanding that buffalo wait lists the vast majority of the students that end up matriculating. For the students who were accepted outright today and not wait listed, would you mind sharing stats? Every single one of the 15+ current buffalo students I have spoken to said they were first wait listed then accepted later in the process, so don't lose hope guys!
Waitlisted today and that makes me feel so much better thanks for sharing! Do you happen to know if they got accepted in April? Or do they send out acceptances sooner?

I read online (can't find the link now) that one quarter of the incoming class will be awarded merit scholarships. Does anyone know when these awards are made?

Definitely don't lose hope, I am pretty sure many people come off the waitlist. My friend was waitlisted and got in by May, and then is now an M1.

I'm low stat (125/124/126/126) 3.4 cgpa, but I'm local (<50 miles) with LORs from UB doctors I'm just hoping for a pity interview

Received an II Monday. On interview day, does anyone know why some students receive three interviews while other students have 2 interviews?

The two interviewers compare how they "score" the interviewee. If there's a large enough discrepancy between the two interview scores they'll give a third interview.
