What are people's thoughts about Louisville? Are they out of the water in terms of their accreditation issues a few years ago?

I personally really enjoyed my interview day.

I personally really enjoyed my interview day and am leaning Louisville but would love to hear other's thoughts.
The accreditation for the med school and the undergraduate school are separate so even if the undergrad university fails the med school is fine.

If you are referring to the 2013 accreditation issue for the medical school, yes I believe they are. They have re-done their curriculum and have had the schools two highest step scores for the last two years in a row. I'm not sure those exact numbers but they are doing great. Since I saw you posted a similar post in the UKCOM page, Id try to reach out to current students, faculty and look over the differences in the curriculum to help make an informed decision between the two schools. Both places have similar residency placement and specialty placement breakdown, but if you already have a strong inclination of what you want to specialize, id look into the departmental differences between UK/UofL for that specialty.

OOS with strong ties to the area (lived in Kentucky for almost 30 years, mostly in the Louisville area). Interviewed on 10/30.

I'm so eager to hear back from Louisville! Especially when I was a kid, I always imagined studying medicine as a Card. 🙂

Thank you for your help! This is just what I was looking for.

Interviewed 10/18, no decision email. Post above mine interviewed 9/27, also got a no decision. Anyone have some ideas as to why they wouldn't address the applications chronologically? Or do they just immediately take the most competitive applicants and put the rest of us on the backburner until later?

Accepted! Yesterday I got an email immediately followed by a phone call. I'm so excited!

This is what I’d like to know. I also interviewed 10/18 and got the no decision email. I wonder if they have a process in picking who’s file they review or if they just take them absolutely randomly? Whatever the case I wish I could just get a decision and I know for sure that the people who have been waiting even longer feel the same!

Accepted this morning via email and phone call. Interviewed 11/7

The committee meets through March, so interviews def wont happen after that
You mind starting a private convo with me fruitloops?

I mean... for anyone who has gotten an II most recently, what were the possible interview dates available.

I just got a "no decision" email for the 12/13 interview. How long does it usually take them to review these files?

My friend and I both got additional no decision emails and we interviewed 11/27. Expecting big things for 1/30!

Well the good news is it’s actually 1/23, so one less week of anxiety lol.

I also am waiting — interviewed 12/13 and thought my interview went reallllllly well

I got a II Friday, can anyone comment on how the interview day goes/ common questions?

Placed on waitlist last week; really sorta surprised and disappointed; really liked the school and felt the interviews went very well....even given some verbal affirmation at end of one of the interviews; process is truly a mystery to me; OOS LM78ish
