On the secondary when it says "We are inviting you to submit secondary materials and would like to receive the following items from you within two weeks of the date of this request in order to complete your application materials. " Is it saying they want us to submit the secondary essays within 2 weeks as well also or is it just requiring the LORs within 2 weeks

I believe it is in reference to the submission of the secondary application

That can't be right. I know for sure they had an interview date scheduled for Sept 10. At this rate, they will need to interview over 60 students per week for the rest of the cycle which is insane.

Isn't Wayne's teaching hospital cutting ties with them? They might be going through a lot of changes right now.

That article someone posted on here was from May and pretty outdated. BMS students get all the same med school emails so we've been kept up to date with the progress:

Detroit, MI – Aug. 27, 2018 -- After three months of weekly deliberations, Wayne State University Physician Group (WSUPG) and the Detroit Medical Center (DMC) signed a Memorandum of Agreement on Aug. 25, 2018. The parties expect to reach a definitive agreement over the next few weeks with a signing planned in late September.

The other option is they're interviewing a lot less people this year which cuts down their number of II/week

Not really sure how this is going impact students/residents/fellows. I work at the affiliated hospital and we still have med students here for rotations.

but yeah, in all honesty, i just think they're taking their time going through apps. The lady I spoke to actually left the phone on hold while she spoke to someone from the ADCOM- this is what she told me.

If you think that’s bad, I just read that a bunch of Oakland applicants got an II, scheduled it, made arrangements, then got an email from Oakland saying not only was the interview invite a mistake but their application was also rejected for good
