Did you guys get an actual complete email or is the “in the process of being complete “ supposed to be a complete email? I submitted in early July and haven’t heard back besides the in the process email

Submit in Aug and still not complete. Another 6 weeks have passed since the receipt of "in the process of being complete" email..... lols, has anyone email the office about the status of their application after receiving the "in the process" email?

If you look through this thread it appears there have been mixed results. Sometimes, sending a reminder or update has resulted in a completion shortly after and other times it does nothing. That being said, I have always taken the approach of letting the admissions team do their job and have only contacted them if I have something worthwhile to add to my application. There are over 8,000 applicants to Einstein and they probably have a way of sorting applicants that results in different completion times.

That being said, if you have any updates to send in, that might be the best way to "check on your application".

For people that have interviewed, what date in Feb do they release decisions? I remember them telling us that everyone finds out the same day, but I can't remember when that is.

I mean I called and they said they don't accept them. Their website also says they don't accept them. Where did you read they do?
The reason why the person above said mixed signals is because some people in this thread, and a couple of my friends, called/emailed and asked and they told them that they do accept pre-II updates.

I've seen this dilemma on other school specific threads. I sent a pre-II update, in pdf format, and it was accepted.

I think they say " dont send updates" because they dont want to sort thousands of updates flooding in. But will take it on the down low if people decide to send it.

Interesting! What do you mean by it was accepted? Did they email and acknowledge it?

I recently got a pub and sent an update to all the schools that I thought accepted them. I really want to send it but when I checked I saw this page: Instructions for new applicants | M.D. Admissions | Albert Einstein College of Medicine

The bold potion about half way down says no pre-II updates and when I called they said they don't take them.

Now I'm unsure what I should do.

Yes, exactly this. You know your admissions office is a bit of a mess when they can't even give out consistent messaging on this. Sigh.

Take this with a grain though.

They could have just told me it was accepted, but put a "does not follow directions" note in my app instead :/

The fact that some people called and the person said they accept them is confusing me. Maybe I'll call again at a different time to see if I get a different response. I think updating them on my pub would really add to my app as it is my first one.

Edit: called again and got the same response so I don’t think I’m going to be sending an update here

Still nothing 8 weeks after the "In Process" email

Has anyone who sent a pre-II update letter gotten an II or any type of response? Thinking of sending one because I've been complete since 9/23.

They don’t accept pre-II updates per their website unfortunately. I’ve seen some people on this thread say they have gotten differing information when they called but I would just stick to the website to be safe unless you call and they tell you otherwise!

Anyone know what percent of applicants find out about their decision on Feb 1st?
