2019-2020 Baylor

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
The weekend before thanksgiving might be a better indicator than date.

Does anybody have an idea of roughly what interview dates will be covered by this first acceptance wave?
I’m almost positive that at least up to the beginning of November, possibly a week or two more. But they said that the later you interviewed within that span, the less likely it is that you’ll hear back in this round.

Historically has Baylor made their calls all on one day with 2 weeks between? Or will they make the calls over a couple days for each wave?

any current students on here have housing recommendations?

We probably have like 4 weeks to wait until the next batch. (At least that’s what it looks like from last year)

Also congratulations to everyone who got an acceptance today 🙂!

Had same question. Seems they accepted first wave on Thursday only. Was acceptance date linked to interview date? Is next wave in 2 or 4 weeks. If not accepted, what do they tell you; wait list or rejected or are you just left hanging.? I interviewed 9/13. Thought I would be in first wave ;heard nothing.

Accepted applicants, do we need to reserve our seat in the class by signing something or replying to the email? Or is our spot automatically reserved until we need to make the deposit in April?

Dean of admissions said on my interview day that they do not reject or waitlist people. They’ll just send an email out in June saying they’ve filled their class, and that that’s all you’ll hear from them if they do not accept you.

Yep, that’s Baylor’s way of doing it.

What's is the four-year MD/MPH like? The website only talks about BCM/UT HSC's 5-year plan, but it says that a 4-year plan is an option? Any current students here to speak on it?

Anyone know for sure when to expect the second wave? Are subsequent waves every 2 or 4 weeks? How many sent acceptances in first wave. Was first wave linked to interview date?
1) No one knows for sure when to expect the second wave. Last year the acceptances were mid november, mid december, end of january, end of february, then more frequently march + april. The mid november wave has gone out, itll probably be right before christmas that the next wave does (though this is only my guess)

2) Baylor accepts more students per wave as the cycle goes on. It is likely that the class is not very full right now.

3) No. All interviewees are considered during each wave (barring the interview on the week of the wave)

Thanks. Must remain patient.

Does anyone know when the second wave of acceptances will be awarded? Last year 12/17. How many accepted in first wave? Hope to not have to wait until March-April.

No one really knows the second wave’s exact date or number of acceptances except for the Adcom members. Since last year was 12/17, there will probably be a second wave before Xmas. But no one really knows.
