I thought CC is only post interview
I thought CC is only post interview
Sorry I got confused -- I was responding to the person that said "I have this taroo. Is this a soft rejection or hold with future interview invite potential?"

Continued Consideration Post-II is not a death sentence by any means. They accepted approximately 430 people out of about 700 applicants last year thats a super high acceptance rate.

Being on hold pre-II is kind of a death sentence.

So i interviewed way back on 8/20 and was CCed on 10/17... Was wondering if anyone knows when they start looking at / getting back to CCed people. does it only happen late in the cycle or do they truly continue to look at us from the start (i have sent them an update after the CC decision came in)
edit: CC = continued consideration (post-interview)

what do you mean by cced.
Thanks

continued consideration post-interview
Number of interviews to acceptances ratio is little less than 2. Meaning every 1 out of 2 will get an acceptance. Many acceptances go out between march and May. May be 1 out of 4 will get acceptance at this time.

The true answer to this lies in last year’s thread!! I would read through the whole thing — I did once and I remmeber I think like cc they look at in March? Not totally sure I don’t think there was a ton of movement during the year. But at the interview day they said they do look at you every meeting.

So has anyone looked to see if they looked at it before march? 🤣 if I have to wait all the way till march that's gonna kill me

They actually explained this to us at my interview. Whenever the admissions committee meets, CC'd applications get cycled again and again and are reviewed the same way as initially. My guess is that most of the applications get CC'd and only a select few accepted early, but don't lose hope!

Last year 680 ish interviews and 432 acceptances so the odds are good!
where did you get this interviews and acceptances info. Msar just has interviews info and Us news does not have it on acceptances for loyola.

I expect about 40 to 50 percent of them to go out starting march As schools dont want to give too many too early.

I had an interview and I asked and they told me haha.

Has anyone that interviewed 10/22 or later have a “your interview is complete message” or are you still on the “ thanks for scheduling your interview”

i was told that if you still have the “thank you for scheduling your interview” that means that one of your interviewers didn’t submit their evaluations. they said that should go away within a week and then you would go to “your interview is complete” where you are capable of submitting updates. might be worth a call to ask!

thanks guys, that gave me some hope :')
Keep your hopes up! 2 out of 5 of my friends from our class were on CC/waitlist and were accepted in May. It can happen and does happen to many people 🙂

Did not see anybody on sdn'rs getting acceptances last week. Hope they hand out some this week.

So I’ve heard that stritch has been trying to change their curriculum to a block - system. Anyone hear of this / know specifics?

I heard whispers from current students (when I interviewed my best friend is a m1 there and I spoke about it with his room mates) that they were changing the curriculum it was a matter of if not when.

Also, one student who is pretty involved let me know just to be careful. Because when they went pass/fail they did that mid cycle (this was last year or the year before) and had told those who interviewed prior to the change in the middle of the year that they were not going to change to pass/fail.

Don’t get me wrong loyola is my number 1 choice I’m just being honest that i was alerted to current students that they may change the curriculum still having told us early interviewers that they weren’t changing it.

Hope that makes sense.

Summary: the new curriculum is actively being created but when it’s being implemented is not known, and they have a history of implementing things/ announcing mid admissions cycle.

That’s good to know. I would actually highly prefer a new curriculum, and for me personally that would make Loyola perfect. It would just be nice to know if I’ll have that type of curriculum or not, because it does affect decisions when it comes to choosing medical schools.

I’d also like to note that i heard from an M2 that they will be changing the curriculum, they just don’t know when.
