Acceptance received just now by email (2/4) for the MD-program! I interviewed for MD-PhD and was told in the email I am still being considered for the MD/PhD program.

Secondary received: 7/10
Secondary submitted: 7/23
Interviewed: 10/8-10/9

Congrats! And wow - that was a really long wait!!

I just got off the phone with a rude admissions lady and she said they don't require prerequisites anymore. I know this is coming from the source but can someone confirm this ?(still taking the prerequisites regardless)

I looked on the website and it still states the recommended bio, chem, etc classes.

Did anyone who is placed on hold receive this email? I was interviewed in Nov, but not accepted/rejected/placed on hold yet. I am wishfully thinking that maybe this was sent to a pile of people that still might get accepted before April instead of being placed on hold?

I have no idea. I know someone who was placed on hold a couple of weeks after their interview. He never got his email. I think it’s just to stop people from calling or emailing for updates.

Is this confirmed? It's weird if they don't require prereqs anymore..

What do you mean?

Recommended Premedical Competencies (2020 entering class):

The following prerequisites are recommended to applicants as they prepare themselves for the YourMD Curriculum. These are based on the AAMC Premedical Competencies which mark the beginning of a continuum leading to the Six Domains of Competence* that create the foundation of Graduate Medical Education (Residency Training) and beyond into independent practice. Accepted yesterday! Still in shock. This is definitely a dream school.

Secondary received 8/30, submitted secondary 9/23, II received 10/23, Interviewed 1/7.
Ah congrats interviewed same day but haven't heard anything! Hoping for the same good news 🙂

Which dates did they give you as options?
I also got an II a couple days ago for mid March. I had two days to pick from my over a week period with the last date being on 3/17. They also gave me like 3 days to respond or lose my invite, so my guess is I'm fighting for a WL spot, but still going for it.

OOS. App complete 9/30. LM 75ish

How it's feeling now that it's February and has been over 6 months

Is there usually hold movement, or do you just hear on April 30th?

From past threads it looks like there will be a few acceptances off hold starting in late March/early April. The Friday before the 30th is historically when the first huge wave of As arrive. April 30th will be the absolute last possible day of waiting.

Stay strong hold fam :xf:

Accepted 2/4, interview 11/5 no hold. I am in disbelief!! Last year I interviewed 1/31, placed on hold & rejected 4/30.

My advice is 100% ask for feedback if you are rejected post-II (there are instructions in the portal after the R.)

In my second interview they asked what was the feedback I received and I hadn’t requested it thinking I already knew what they wanted. I’m lucky that didn’t tank me.

Congratulations!!!! I also interviewed 1/31 last year and rejected 4/30. Hoping good news comes my way soon 🙂

Can confirm. I emailed earlier because one of their portals on the secondary app lists prerequisite courses that need to be completed. It sounds like it should’ve been removed from their system but wasn’t.
