I kind of miss the shadow waitlist because then I still had hopes of straight up getting accepted. But I must say its nice to at least hear something back. The other med school I applied to basically ghosted me for about 3 months now, can't even get an email reply.

A trickle* but it shows that not everyone in this ‘full’ class has been noticed much earlier. Although, I don’t know why they wouldn’t tell people they’ve been accepted until now. Could literally mean anything

This is actually pretty dark for the March interviews so far no one I remember from March reported an acceptance and they’re already doing AL

WL movement has been slow at a lot of schools, especially here on the east coast, hopefully when the movement comes it allows people already accepted to get off those waitlists and withdraw from Downstate making room for you guys

At work rn and refreshed my email past midnight nothing in the inbox. Went on SDN saw two pages in the discussion and furiously began reading all the posts with increasing anxiety.

I also did not get a WL email, really hope it’s not a silent R. Has anyone seen anything similar to last year where during the WL wave people didn’t hear back?

It’s what I’m saying. I don’t know why they wouldn’t have notified people of their As already = they probably gave out all As already. I could be very wrong though

Even if it is an AL or R, as much as I want the A id rather them just tell me regardless what the decision is. The waiting hurts more than anything else right now

Got the alternate list at 11:27 PM.. I feel like those who didn’t receive it got accepted tbh. No way there class would be full with all those withdrawals reported. I think the AL is a rejection in a way. Best of luck !

As sad as I would be and hope rejection is not the case I just want them rip the band aid off and let the no email group know what’s happening

To be positive to a fault, my only thinking is it could be a different system tied to it. It seems unlikely, but hey, who knows. I feel like they wouldn't be giving Rs at this point, so it's either that or our AL invite will come later.
