For anybody that is interviewing on Thursday - want to get dinner the night before? Maybe there is a group of applicants/student hosts that is eating somewhere? I don’t know, I live in the area so I don’t have a student host.

Question, I remember reading somewhere that those interviewing can leave their luggage at pritzker somewhere if necessary, but I can’t seem to find it now. Am I hallucinating?

Alright, UChicago is amazing. Interview was very relaxed and chill, and we got to talk to a bunch of students throughout the day. They all seemed to love it and described the student body as a big family, extremely friendly. Really hope to get an A here!

Bruh....I forgot to leave you a sticker!

And here I was having a good interview day

@u_raptor I am curious as to why it seems like you’re proceeding at places like wake forest, commonwealth etc. (no hate against the schools) but you’re bound to get many T10 acceptances. Like I said no hate against those schools but you seem like the superstar MVP applicant and we’re talking about practice
Until I get an A I go by the philosophy that I can't be picky, nor should I think I am entitled to an A at any school. I treat every II like it's my only chance at an A until I have reason to think otherwise!

For those of you who have had an interview already, around when was the closing session finished? Trying to figure out what flight times are feasible from ORD.

The closing session was all wrapped up at about 340. To get to and through midway at this time will likely take about an hour and a half to 2 hours so schedule flights no earlier than 6. No earlier than 7:15 at O’Hare

I had an awkward scheduling gap and will be in Chicago from 8/24-8/27 (Interviewing 8/27) if anyone wants to explore the city with me on 8/24-8/26!

Perfectly humble and realistic explanation.
Also, other applicants of similar strength might add the fact that they hope for consideration for a full tuition scholarship at a T30 or T50 school which they would select to attend over T10 loans only.

Assuming one put a good amount of thought in to their school list, I would use (and will hopefully have the opportunity to use) this heirarchy:

Full ride anywhere >>> really good financial aid at a top school > decent aid at state school > really good aid at mid tier school > decent aid at top school > state school > decent aid at top school > top school > decent aid at mid tier school > mid tier school >>>>>>> rejection everywhere

So essentially:
minimized personal COA, then school tier trade-off for any/each ~$100k personal cost difference.

In essence, yes. I think that is a good rule of thumb to use (assuming an applicant's school list consists of only cities they could see themselves in).

people with ii's (or w/o too) anyone really, how much did you write for why pritzker?

Just write however much feels right for what you want to talk about. That’s not to say you should write 200 words and be done, but anything reasonable. I don’t have an II here, but I’m sorry to say that just because someone has an II here doesn’t mean their invite had anything to do with the length of this essay, nor would anyone be able to know whether it did.

Got a ii at northwestern recently and was thinking of sending Pritzker an "in the area" email. Does anybody have experience with/ think it's a good or bad idea?

Yeah, pritzker is receptive to them but may not or may not get back to you in time. I got a II at northwestern and sent an ITA to pritzker. They said they added it to my file but it hasn’t resulted in anything yet... I went ahead and booked my flights though because I’m running out of time.
