Oh i see. Thank you so much for your quick replies 🙂. Do you know how long it typically takes to hear back from the school after you submit the secondary?

I had an II within 24hrs of submitting my secondary. I think 24-48hrs is what most people on here have said as well.

Remember to check your junk mail and add their auto mailer address to your contacts so any communication has a better chance of making it to your inbox!

holy cow. That's crazy!!!! well thank you so much for your kindness and prompt answer! I hope you get accepted to the school!!

What time during the day did people get acceptance calls?

Does anyone know post-II acceptance rate or the accept/reject/waitlist process (how the adcom chooses)?

What I’ve gathered is 800/5000 applicants receive secondaries and interviews. So that would be 16% of applicants. If 300/800 are accepted, that’s a 37.5% post-II acceptance rate. All in all, that seems fairly low relative to other programs.

This year they are interviewing significantly less applicants ~ 500

Where did you get that 800 number from? From what i've seen it's usually 400-500

The two waves of acceptances before me posted that they got the call around 8 or 9am.

The last group (9/15) got the call around 4pm, so I assume it’s just whenever they get around to it.

I would suspect that the likelihood of getting accepted, given an interview early in the cycle, is greater than the overall likelihood of an acceptance given an interview. So don't worry... stick to your guns on why DO, why ARCOM, what challenges you've overcome and experiences and how they further motivated you down this journey.

But I think each class is only 150, which would drop your 38% to around 19%.

The admissions people told us how many applied, interviewed, and were accepted last year, but I forgot the exact numbers I want to say it was closer to 500-600 II...

They accept way more than 150. Not everyone who gets an acceptance decides to attend ARCOM. They probably accept 200-300 students

On average, double the number of seats available are accepted because many people will matriculate other places. That’s why the number of acceptances is higher than seats.

Granted this was 2 years ago so it's probably out of date

those stats were from their inaugural class so i'm sure the applicant pool is a lot larger than 1481 now, probably 3000-5000.

however, i'm sure the # interviewed and accepted is still around the same.

I got my call around 6pm eastern time

Thats the same numberI read. Since they’re a newer program, they may be adjusting.
I think they mentioned in the interview that it was around 600 last year.

I got a folder that was a white coat with my name on it and the school logo. Opened it up and it had some information viz 'the ARCOM difference', and the acceptance letter.
how long did it take for you to receive this stuff after you received the call?

Question for those who did the dinner with President Kim: what was the attire?

stats directly from the open house today:

4000-5000 total applications
2500-3000 verified
500-600 interview
150 matriculate

500-501 MCAT
3.5 cGPA
3.4 sGPA

edit: sGPA typo

Is this last year's stats or what they're expecting for this year?

I wouldn’t think the stats would change more than a few percentage points. One year you’ll have more, the next a few less. But according to one source they interviewed 800 in 2017 for the second class. That number likely became unwieldy. So the following years they decreased the II down to ten percent or so of applicants it appears. With half of those interviewees accepted and who knows how many on, and eventually off, the waitlist, odds seem decent for an admission versus odds for a secondary/II. I don’t know if that’s true at all schools. Does anyone know the percentage of applicants interviewed at the average program?

average interview rate from what i've seen is 10-20% for most schools.

I was asked pretty standard interview questions (tell me about yourself, why DO, etc.) Make sure you mention how you want to serve rural/underserved areas of Arkansas + connect your past experiences to why you want to.

Has anyone from the Sept 11 interview group heard from admissions?

Nope, today is the earliest we will hear back. I'm hoping for today but realistically it will be later in the week or longer.

How long did it take for them to process the DO letter waiver? just submitted mine and hopefully can get an II soon.

Hey, guys I just got an II today!! I'm super excited however I've been seeing some of you saying you interviewed virtually? Was this how it was initially offered to you? They emailed me inviting me to the on-campus interview however I would prefer virtual if possible. Does anyone have advice on how this works?

What's the chance for a California applicant to receive an interview from this school? I received a secondary on Thursday and submitted on the same day. However, I forgot to submit the technical standards document till today..

Secondary usually equals Interview invite 99.99% of the time for ARCOM
